eesel AI Review 2026: Pricing, Features and Limits

eesel AI is an AI agent that joins your helpdesk like a new hire. It reads your past tickets, then drafts or sends the replies.

It’s strong on the ticket queue. Its pricing changed twice in 2026, and it stops at the phone.

The quick answer: eesel AI is an AI support agent that works inside the helpdesk you already run (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Gorgias, HubSpot, Help Scout, Front, Salesforce and a few more), trained on your help center, macros and past tickets. It drafts or sends ticket replies, tags and routes, answers a chat bubble on your site, and answers your team in Slack. Pricing is a free trial of 100 credits, then the Teammate plan from $299 a month for 500 credits, where one ticket or one chat is one credit. It doesn’t answer phone calls. If your customers call and text as well as email, Carly answers your business line when the team can’t and logs every call, text and email in one team inbox.

What eesel AI does

eesel calls its product an “AI teammate.” You brief it in a dashboard chat (or in Slack, Teams or Google Chat) the way you’d brief a new hire, and it turns your corrections into saved rules. One agent can hold several jobs:

  • Helpdesk agent. Reads each new ticket, then drafts a reply, leaves an internal note, or answers the customer itself. It tags, routes and escalates, and can act in connected apps, like looking up a Shopify order or issuing a Stripe refund. Every action can be set to run on its own, wait for approval, or stay off.
  • Simulation. Before you go live, it works a sample of your past tickets and reports how it would have done, topic by topic, so you can fill knowledge gaps first.
  • Copilot. A Chrome extension (4.4 stars from 7 ratings, 5,000 users) drafts helpdesk replies from a side panel on any page.
  • Internal questions. Answers your team in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat from your wiki and documents, with the source linked.
  • Website and ecommerce chat. A chat bubble that answers from your site, recommends products and looks up orders in Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or BigCommerce.
  • Blog writer. Researches and drafts posts in your brand voice and publishes to WordPress.
  • For developers. A command-line tool, inbound webhooks, and an MCP server so you can talk to your agent from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

The pitch is setup speed. eesel’s help center says most teams have an agent answering questions within about 15 minutes, and nothing touches customers until you switch on an automation.

Which helpdesks eesel AI plugs into

The helpdesk you run changes what eesel can do. From eesel’s own comparison in its help center:

HelpdeskHow a person stays in the loopWorth knowing
ZendeskDraft reply or internal noteAlso answers Zendesk Messenger live chat
FreshdeskDraft reply or internal noteConnects with an API key; Freshchat on top
IntercomInternal noteWaits about 15 seconds on a first message so your Intercom workflows finish
HubSpotInternal commentNo sender blocklist; limit it by inbox, channel or pipeline
GorgiasDraft reply or internal noteCovers Gorgias chat, since chats arrive as tickets
Help ScoutDraft replyDoes not answer Beacon live chats
FrontInternal commentDoes not create tags or assign to teams
SalesforceInternal case commentNeeds a Salesforce admin; no trigger for chat or messaging sessions
Zoho DeskInternal noteA sender you tell it to skip still counts as a task
Re:amazeInternal noteNo event triggers; it checks on a schedule, as often as every 10 minutes

Every helpdesk also has an action that replies straight to the customer once you trust it.

eesel AI pricing (October 2026)

eesel sells one plan, Teammate, sized by credits a month. A support ticket the agent works is one credit however many replies it takes. A website chat is one credit. Slack questions, scheduled jobs and reports use credits too, and a full blog post uses several. Questions you ask in the dashboard are mostly free.

Credits a monthPrice per monthCost per credit
100 (free trial)$0No card needed
500$299$0.60
1,000$499$0.50
1,500$699$0.47
2,500$999$0.40
3,500$1,349$0.39
5,000$1,899$0.38
More than 5,000Talk to eesel

The rest of the bill:

  • Running out. Your agents pause until credits reset, unless you turn on overage, which bills $0.80 a credit up to a monthly cap you set. Unused credits don’t roll over.
  • Add-ons on any plan. Priority support (a named person, same-day human replies) from $299 a month. SSO and MFA from $199 a month. Without priority support, eesel’s pricing page says support is “eesel first, then a human within a few days.”
  • Annual. Pay a year upfront and get two months free, arranged with eesel’s sales team.
  • Enterprise. Custom price: a dedicated contact, SSO, custom data residency, HIPAA with a signed BAA and an annual contract.
  • No seat fees. Any number of agents and seats on every plan, and no platform fee, per the pricing page.
  • Cancelling. Any time, through Stripe in Workspace Settings > Billing, with no cancellation fee.

Check which price list you’re on. eesel has changed its pricing more than once in 2026. Its changelog shows a pay-as-you-go option added in April, and its help center and Shopify App Store listing still describe that model: $0.40 per ticket or chat, $4 per blog post, a $50 trial, and a $1,000-a-month Enterprise platform fee. The pricing page now sells the credit plans above. Confirm which terms apply to you in writing before you sign.

Here’s what that looks like for Emily, who runs a four-person support team at a skincare brand on Gorgias. They get about 1,800 tickets a month, and the team asks eesel a few hundred questions in Slack, so she needs around 2,100 credits. The 1,500 tier plus 600 credits of overage would be $1,179, so she moves up to 2,500 credits at $999 a month, or $9,990 a year paid upfront. That covers email and chat. It doesn’t cover the 300 calls a month from customers asking where their order is, which still ring the team or go to voicemail. For those, get started with Carly.

eesel AI review: what works and what doesn’t

What works

  • It lives where your team already works. Replies, notes, tags and assignments land on the ticket in your helpdesk, with no new inbox to watch and no migration.
  • Fast, low-risk rollout. Simulation on past tickets, draft-only mode and per-action approvals let you start supervised and widen scope as it earns trust.
  • One agent, many surfaces. The same knowledge serves the ticket queue, the website chat, Slack and the Chrome extension, in 80+ languages.
  • Simple plan structure. Credits rather than per-seat pricing, so adding teammates doesn’t change the bill.

What doesn’t

  • You pay for the work, not the result. A credit is spent on every ticket the agent works, including ones where it only drafts a reply your team rewrites, and its help center says tasks are billed regardless of outcome.
  • The entry price jumped. The cheapest paid plan is $299 a month. Under the per-ticket model, a team with 300 tickets paid about $120.
  • Support is slow unless you pay. Same-day human replies are a $299-a-month add-on.
  • Helpdesk depth varies. No Beacon chat on Help Scout, no tagging or team assignment on Front, and polling instead of triggers on Re:amaze.
  • Compliance is still in progress. SOC 2 Type II is listed as underway, which matters if a security review is part of your buying process.
  • No phone answering in its docs. eesel’s documented channels (checked October 2026) are tickets, chat, email and messaging. A customer who phones still reaches a person or voicemail.

What reviewers say. eesel has few independent reviews we could check. Its Shopify app holds 5.0 from a single review, in which a South African coffee retailer praised how responsive the eesel team was during setup. The Chrome extension sits at 4.4 from seven ratings. On Trustpilot it shows 3.2 from one review, a 1-star complaint from April 2026 that blog drafts stopped mid-creation and edits were lost. The customer quotes on eesel’s own site lean on setup speed and customization; one team says it moved from Intercom Fin because it couldn’t customize Fin.

Where Carly fits: support calls and texts

eesel works the written queue. Carly is an AI assistant for your whole team, and Carly for teams puts it on the business line your customers already call and text.

When a customer calls and nobody on the team can pick up, Carly answers from your FAQs and policies, recognizes the caller from your email and CRM, books them on the right teammate’s real calendar, and hands the conversation to a person when it should. Texts get the same treatment. Every call and text lands in one team inbox alongside email, so when Josh calls about the order he emailed about last week, Carly already has that thread.

You don’t have to rip anything out. Carly connects to thousands of apps, including Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom and Gorgias, so you can keep eesel or your helpdesk’s own AI on tickets and let Carly take the phone and text side. The Carly team sets up the number with you, the one you already have or a new one. Pricing: free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Set up Carly on your support line and call it yourself.

FAQ

What is eesel AI?

eesel AI is an AI agent for customer support and internal questions. It plugs into helpdesks like Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom and Gorgias, learns from your help center and past tickets, and drafts or sends replies, tags and routes tickets, answers a website chat bubble and answers your team in Slack. It also has an ecommerce chat agent and a blog writer.

How much does eesel AI cost?

eesel’s pricing page lists a free trial of 100 credits, then the Teammate plan from $299 a month for 500 credits up to $1,899 a month for 5,000. One ticket or chat is one credit, overage is $0.80 a credit, and paying a year upfront gets two months free. Its help center and Shopify listing still show older per-task rates ($0.40 a ticket), so confirm which applies to you.

Is eesel AI free?

There’s a free trial with 100 credits, every feature and integration, and no card. After that, paid plans start at $299 a month.

Does eesel AI answer phone calls?

No. eesel’s help center lists helpdesk tickets, website chat, email and team chat as its channels, and the only voice feature it lists transcribes call recordings. To put AI on your phone line, Carly answers calls and texts on your business number and hands off to your team in one inbox.

Which helpdesks does eesel AI work with?

Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Gorgias, Help Scout, Front, Salesforce Service Cloud, Jira Service Management, Zoho Desk and Re:amaze, plus Zendesk Messenger and Freshchat for live chat. What it can do differs by helpdesk, so check the table above for yours.

Is eesel AI worth it?

For a support team with a busy ticket queue in a supported helpdesk, it’s a quick way to get AI drafting and resolving tickets without a migration, and the per-credit price falls as volume grows. It’s harder to justify under a few hundred tickets a month, since the cheapest plan is $299. If a lot of your support arrives as calls and texts, get started with Carly for that side, or compare options in our Gorgias alternatives guide.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
