Instinct Invite Code and Waitlist: How to Get In

There is no Instinct invite code. You get in one of two ways: a private invite link from a current member, or the waitlist, which you join by signing up with your phone number. Instinct has published no wait time.

If you want an assistant you can text today, Carly needs no invite and has no waitlist.

How to get an Instinct invite

Every member gets five invites. Instinct’s welcome screen tells new members: “Ask Instinct at any time for your private invite link to give others access.” So your friend texts their Instinct, gets a link back and sends it to you. You open it, enter your phone number, type the 6-digit sign-in code Instinct texts you, and you’re set up.

Links can fail. Instinct’s invite page (checked October 6, 2026) covers each case:

  • Used up: “This invite link has been used up.” Ask for a fresh one.
  • Out of invites: “Referral limit reached” when your friend has spent all five.
  • Expired or revoked: the page offers the waitlist instead.
  • At capacity: even a valid link can return “Instinct is at capacity,” with a button to join the waitlist.

Open the link the day you get it, and don’t count on it until you’re through sign-up.

How the Instinct waitlist works

The homepage button, “Text Instinct to get started,” leads to the sign-in page members use. Enter your phone number and confirm it with a code sent by SMS or WhatsApp. If there is no room, you land on a screen that says “You’re on the waitlist. We’re letting people in as fast as we can.”

The consent text above the Send code button covers a welcome text when your spot opens, waitlist updates, and occasional tips and product news. Instinct’s SMS terms say marketing messages are not a condition of joining, and you can reply STOP.

How long is the wait? Nobody outside the company knows. Founder Noah Shinn said Instinct would stay invite-only while it was “actively bringing up more compute,” Fortune reported on September 30, and no date or queue size has been published.

Outside the US? The early beta took US numbers only. When we checked on October 6, Instinct’s sign-up form accepted numbers from 83 countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, India, Japan and most of the EU. You still need to be 18 or older, and a spot still depends on capacity.

One way to try it without an account. On October 5, Instinct added its agent to group chats, and it works even for friends who haven’t joined, TechCrunch reported. The group’s Instinct is kept separate from anyone’s personal account, and early access users get the feature first. If a friend has it, ask to join a trip or dinner thread.

Instinct invites for sale on eBay

Shinn said on the Invest Like the Best podcast that existing users are selling invitations on eBay. Cybernews went looking on September 30 and found two listings, priced from $93 to over $200.

Skip them:

  • You can pay and still wait. A bought link can be used up, expired or revoked, and a valid one can still drop you on the waitlist when Instinct is at capacity.
  • Instinct issues links, not codes. The only code in the process is the 6-digit sign-in code sent to your own phone. Never give that to a seller.
  • Sold logins break the terms. Instinct’s terms say “You may not allow anyone else to use your Account,” and allow one account per person.

Is Instinct worth waiting for?

Joining the waitlist costs nothing, and Instinct is free with no published price (what that means). For personal errands it is one of the most aggressive agents around: it books, buys, cancels and phones businesses for you (our review).

Two things to know first. Instinct’s terms let it train AI models on your inputs by default, with an opt-out in settings. And an agent that pushes this hard can overdo it: CNN reported a user whose Resy account was banned after the agent hit the site hundreds of times an hour.

If the work you want handled is email, scheduling and follow-up, there is no reason to wait.

What to use while you wait

Carly: text it today, no invite

Carly is a texting and calling agent too, and you can sign up now. Save the number, text it like a person, and it gets the job done across all your accounts. Texting works from US numbers; anywhere else, use Carly on the web or by email. The setup is in how to use Carly over text.

  • All your inboxes at once. Carly works across every Gmail and Outlook account you connect: it reads, drafts, sends, unsubscribes and briefs you on all of them each morning.
  • Your calendars, booked for you. It sees all your Google and Outlook calendars together, finds times, books and reschedules, and runs booking pages and group availability polls.
  • Agents you can CC. Build AI employees that each get their own email address. CC one on a thread and it takes it from there, sending on its own or drafting for your approval.
  • Work that starts on its own. Workflows kick off within minutes when an email arrives, a meeting gets booked or a CRM deal changes stage.
  • Thousands of apps. Carly connects to thousands of apps, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack and Google Sheets. See the integrations.
  • Calls for your business. Carly for teams answers and places calls, and handles texts and email, on your company’s phone line. That’s set up with our team: book a call.

Say Josh texts Carly at 7am: “Move my 3pm with Claire to Thursday and tell her why.” Carly checks all his calendars, moves the meeting, emails Claire the new time and texts Josh that it’s done.

Carly does not use your data, including Google and Microsoft data, to train AI models (privacy policy). Pricing is published: free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started with Carly.

Frequently asked questions

No. Invites are private links a member gets from their Instinct. The only code you type is the 6-digit sign-in code sent to your own phone.

How long is the Instinct waitlist?

Instinct has not published a wait time or queue size. Its waitlist screen says it is “letting people in as fast as we can,” and Instinct says it will message you when your spot opens.

Can I get Instinct outside the US?

Yes, in many countries. On October 6, 2026, the sign-up form accepted numbers from 83 countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia and India. You still need an invite or a waitlist spot.

Should I buy an Instinct invite on eBay?

No. You can pay and still land on the waitlist. If you need an assistant now, Carly is open today.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
