How to Schedule a Post on LinkedIn (2026)
LinkedIn has a built-in scheduler, so you don’t need a third-party tool for basic timing. It lives behind a small clock icon in the post composer. Here’s how to schedule a post, find your scheduled queue, and edit or delete one.
1. Schedule a Post (Desktop)
- On your home feed, click Start a post.
- Write your post — add text, media, and any tags.
- Click the clock icon to the left of the Post button.
- In the Schedule post pop-up, set the date and time.
- Click Next, then Schedule.
Your post is queued and will publish automatically at the chosen time.
2. Timing Rules
- The scheduled time must be between 10 minutes and 3 months from now.
- The dropdown offers 30-minute increments, but you can type an exact time instead.
- LinkedIn uses your account’s time zone — double-check it if you’re traveling.
3. Find, Edit, or Delete Scheduled Posts
- Click Start a post to open the composer.
- Click the clock icon in the bottom-left.
- Click View all scheduled posts.
- From the list you can:
- Edit the scheduled time (pencil/clock icon).
- Delete a scheduled post (trash icon).
To edit the content of a scheduled post, some versions require you to delete it and reschedule a new one.
4. Schedule a Post on Mobile
- Tap Post to open the composer and write your post.
- Tap the ⋯ or clock icon near the top/bottom of the composer.
- Set the date and time, then tap Schedule.
- View the queue via the clock icon > View all scheduled posts.
5. Troubleshooting
I don’t see the clock icon
Scheduling is available for personal profiles and Pages in the standard composer. Update the app or use desktop; the icon sits next to the Post button.
Can I edit a scheduled post’s text?
You can always change the time. Editing the content may not be supported in your version — if not, delete the scheduled post and create a new one.
My scheduled post didn’t publish
Confirm it’s still in View all scheduled posts and wasn’t deleted. Posts that violate policy or include broken media can fail silently — repost manually.
What’s the earliest I can schedule?
10 minutes from now is the minimum; 3 months is the maximum. Times round to the nearest interval unless you enter an exact time.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
