Kajabi Pricing: Basic, Growth and Pro Compared

Kajabi costs $143, $199 or $399 per month billed annually, or $179, $249 and $499 billed monthly, across its Basic, Growth and Pro plans. Annual billing saves $432, $600 and $1,200 a year respectively.

Kajabi does not take a revenue share, which sets it apart from most of the creator platform category. What it does instead is cap products, contacts, websites, communities and admin seats by tier, and those caps decide your plan far more often than the feature list does.

Basic$143$17952,5002
Growth$199$2495025,00011
Pro$399$499Unlimited100,00026

All three include one community on Basic and Growth, three on Pro, and one website on Basic and Growth against three on Pro.

Basic

$143 a month billed annually, or $179 monthly. Five products, 2,500 contacts, one website, one community, two admin users. Unlimited marketing emails, courses, cohorts, video transcriptions and translations.

Basic includes zero AI credits. Every AI feature on the platform runs on credits, and the entry plan is allocated none, so any AI use on Basic means buying a top-up at $15 a month for 500 credits.

Growth

$199 a month billed annually, or $249 monthly. Fifty products, 25,000 contacts, one website, one community, 11 admin users, and 500 AI credits a month.

The contact limit is what usually ends Basic. Going from 2,500 to 25,000 contacts is a tenfold increase for $56 a month more on annual billing, which makes Growth the obvious plan for anyone with a working email list.

Pro

$399 a month billed annually, or $499 monthly. Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, three websites, three communities, 26 admin users, 1,000 AI credits a month, a custom code editor, and the branded mobile app that Kajabi values at $199 a month.

Pro also includes API access, listed at a $25 a month value, which matters if you plan to connect Kajabi to anything else you run.

Kajabi payment processing

Kajabi Payments charges by tier, and the spread is narrow:

PlanKajabi Payments rate
Basic2.9% + $0.30
Growth2.8% + $0.30
Pro2.7% + $0.30

Rates shown are for US entities. Third-party payment providers carry their own fees on top.

What the pricing page glosses over

The processing rate is not a reason to upgrade. The difference between Basic and Pro is 0.2%. On $10,000 a month in sales that is $20, against a $256 monthly plan gap. Buy the higher tier for the contact limit or the seats, never for the card rate.

Basic gets no AI credits at all. The comparison table lists 0, 500 and 1,000 by tier. Kajabi markets AI features heavily, and on the entry plan every one of them is a paid top-up at $15 for 500 credits.

Growth adds contacts, not websites. Both Basic and Growth are capped at one website and one community. Anyone running a second brand needs Pro, which is a $200 a month step on annual billing.

Admin seats jump unevenly. Two, then 11, then 26. A creator with a VA and an editor is already at the Basic ceiling.

Expert Agents and Backstage are unpriced. Both appear on the comparison table marked as coming soon with limits and pricing “to be determined,” so anything you are told about their cost today is a guess.

Annual billing is presented as the default. The struck-through monthly figure sits next to the annual one on every card. The real monthly prices are $179, $249 and $499.

Is Kajabi free?

No. Kajabi has no free plan. It runs a free trial and publishes no permanently free tier, so the cheapest ongoing option is Basic at $143 a month on annual billing or $179 month to month. There are no hidden fees and no revenue sharing, which is a genuine point in its favour against platforms that take a percentage.

When Kajabi isn’t the whole answer

Kajabi is a strong all-in-one for someone selling courses, coaching and memberships who does not want to assemble a stack. No revenue share on a business doing real volume is worth a lot, and at Pro the branded app and API access are meaningful.

The part it does not solve is everything that happens in the inbox after someone buys. The coaching call that has to be rescheduled twice. The student who replies to a course email with a question that needs a real answer. The refund request sitting unread since Friday. Kajabi will send the sequence. It will not have the conversation.

Carly is built for that half. Zapier-style workflow steps are free, so a rule like “when someone buys the cohort, send the welcome note and open my booking page for the kickoff call” costs nothing to run. Booking pages and connected calendars are unlimited, so a coach running 40 calls a month is not paying per booking. The AI agent that reads the thread, drafts the reply and books the meeting starts at $35 a month. Carly connects to thousands of apps, Kajabi included, so the course platform keeps doing what it is good at.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
