Neos Pricing: Three Tiers From $109 Per User

Neos, Assembly Software’s personal injury case management platform, starts at $109 per user paid annually. There are three tiers, Essentials, Premium and Platinum, and Assembly publishes the entry rate but not the ladder above it.

That is more than most of this category gives you. It is also less than it looks, because the number is the floor of the cheapest tier on the longest billing term, and Assembly is explicit that actual pricing depends on the plan and billing cycle you choose.

What $109 per user actually buys

The published figure is the starting point for Essentials, paid annually. Assembly describes the three tiers as built around firm size, so a small firm on Essentials annual is the case where $109 applies most directly. Monthly billing costs more, and the two tiers above cost more again.

For a six-attorney PI firm on Essentials annual, $109 a user works out to roughly $7,850 a year before any add-on. That is a useful anchor to bring to the quote conversation, because it is the one number Assembly has committed to publicly.

The three tiers

Essentials is the system built for the work, from intake through case management. Customizable intake forms, the case file, calendaring and the core practice management layer.

Premium adds advanced workflows and priority support on top of Essentials.

Platinum is where NeosAI lives, and this is the split that matters most. The top tier carries embedded intelligence across every case, intake automation, Neos Texting, case cost recovery, advanced analytics and insights, a dedicated resource, and white-glove implementation.

Every AI feature is a Platinum feature

The plan comparison is blunt about this. AI document generation and AI document summarization are marked “Not Included” on both Essentials and Premium, and included on Platinum. So are rules and process automation, and the dynamic intake questionnaire.

Demands Plus, the feature Assembly is currently promoting, requires NeosAI and therefore Platinum. It builds a medical chronology from the case file and drafts the demand letter from it, and it is in early access. If Demands Plus is why you are evaluating Neos, you are evaluating Platinum, and Platinum has no published rate.

The same applies to intake automation. A PI firm’s intake volume is usually the reason it outgrows a spreadsheet, and automating it sits two tiers above the published price.

The integrations that cost extra

Neos connects several things that carry their own economics rather than sitting in the subscription:

  • LawPay for payments inside the case file, with no activation fee
  • Digital Disbursements for client and vendor payments by ACH, Zelle, Venmo or eDebit
  • Premium Texting for two-way client texting saved to the case
  • RingCentral for calling from the case file with call logging
  • Medical records retrieval through HIPAA-compliant partners

Records retrieval in particular is a per-request cost in every system that offers it, and it is a real line in a PI firm’s monthly spend.

Who Neos is actually built for

Assembly cites 1,450+ PI firms and 40+ years in the category. Neos is not general practice management with a personal injury skin, it is built around the PI lifecycle: intake, treatment, records, demand, settlement, disbursement. If you do plaintiff-side personal injury, that specificity is the reason to look at it.

If you do mixed practice, the same specificity is the reason to look elsewhere.

The intake gap under the top tier

The honest read on the Neos ladder is that the case management is strong on every tier and the intake is only automated on the most expensive one. That leaves a real gap for a firm on Essentials or Premium, because intake is where PI firms win or lose cases before the file ever opens.

The signing that never gets booked. The referral from a chiropractor that sits in an inbox for four days. The claimant who calls twice and gives up. Those are inbox and calendar problems, and inside Neos the answer to them is Platinum.

Carly covers that ground from wherever your firm sits on the ladder. Zapier-style workflows are free, so a rule like “when a new claim enquiry arrives, check the calendar and offer three signing times” costs nothing to run whether you are on Essentials or Platinum. Booking pages and connected calendars are unlimited, so intake coordinators and attorneys each hand out their own link. Every Gmail and Outlook account connects as its own authorized connection, so replies go out from the address the referring provider already uses. The agent that reads the enquiry, drafts the reply and books the appointment starts at $35 a month rather than a tier upgrade, and Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the case file, the chronology and the ledger stay in Neos.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
