MyCase Pricing: Plans, Add-Ons, and AI Page Limits

MyCase costs $50, $100, or $130 per user per month billed annually, or $60, $120, and $150 month to month. The three plans are Basic, Pro, and Advanced, and paying yearly saves up to 16%.

Unlike much of the legal software category, MyCase publishes every price. What it publishes less clearly is that accounting is a separate $39 per user add-on and that the AI document tools run on a page allowance.

Basic

$50 per user per month billed annually. Case and contact management, time entry, invoicing and trust accounting, online payments with next-day deposits, customizable reporting, unlimited document storage, and a limited client portal.

“Limited” on the client portal is MyCase’s own word. Basic is a complete billing and matter system for a firm that does not need clients messaging through it.

Pro

$100 per user per month billed annually, and the plan MyCase marks most popular. Everything in Basic plus unlimited eSignature and document generation, automated workflows, client intake forms and a legal CRM, two-way texting, chat and call logging, premium billing and reporting, the 8am IQ Writing and Document Assistant, and 70+ integrations.

Pro doubles the price of Basic. What you are buying is the intake and automation layer: the forms that capture a lead, the workflow that moves it, and the texting that keeps the client informed.

Advanced

$130 per user per month billed annually. Everything in Pro plus the 8am IQ Case Assistant, the 8am IQ Discovery Assistant with OCR, advanced document automation, Desktop Drive for PC and Mac, conflict check tracking, split billing, and an open API.

Advanced is the AI tier. It is a 30% step from Pro rather than the doubling below it, which makes it a smaller decision than the Basic-to-Pro move.

MyCase Accounting is the line most firms miss. Trust accounting is in every plan, but full three-way trust reconciliation and firm-wide financial reporting come from the Accounting add-on at $39 a user a month. On Basic that takes a $50 plan to $89, a 78% increase for a compliance feature.

LawPay has no monthly fee, so payments are a processing-rate question rather than a subscription one.

How the AI page allowance works

The 8am IQ Discovery Assistant runs OCR across case documents, and the firm gets 5,000 pages per user each month, shared across the whole team. Pooling is the useful part: one attorney running a document-heavy matter can draw on the allowance of colleagues who are not.

Additional capacity is $30 per 5,000 pages for the firm as a whole, and the purchase expires at the end of the subscription period rather than rolling forward.

What the pricing page glosses over

Monthly billing costs 15% to 20% more. Basic is $50 against $60 and Pro is $100 against $120. MyCase describes it as saving up to 16%, which is the figure from the perspective of the annual price.

Basic to Pro is a doubling, not a step. $50 to $100 is the largest single jump in the lineup, and it is where intake forms, automated workflows and eSignature live. Firms that buy Basic to save money frequently need one of those three.

The extra AI pages expire. A $30 top-up bought in month two does not survive into the next subscription period, so buying ahead of a big discovery push is fine and buying in bulk is not.

Trials do not need a card. MyCase gives full access with no credit card required, which makes evaluating Pro before committing straightforward.

MyCase is priced sensibly for what it is. Trust accounting, matter management, billing that stands up to review, and an AI document layer that is genuinely useful in discovery are the reasons a firm buys practice management software, and every one of them is here at a published price.

What MyCase is not is an answer to a calendar and inbox problem. A two-attorney firm that upgrades from Basic to Pro at $100 a user is often doing it so intake forms get answered and follow-ups get sent, and then adds Accounting at $39 on top. That is $139 a user a month, largely to make sure nobody gets ignored.
