RingCentral Pricing 2026: RingEX Plans, AI Add-Ons, Fees

RingCentral prints three RingEX prices and a long list of things that cost extra. The seat price is the easy part. The AI receptionist, toll-free overage, texting registration and a contract that renews itself are where the bill grows.

Every number below was checked against RingCentral’s own pricing page, AI Receptionist FAQ, support center and Terms of Service in September 2026, in USD.

The quick answer: RingEX, the phone plan RingCentral used to sell as RingCentral MVP, costs $20, $25 or $35 per user per month billed annually (Core, Advanced, Ultra), or $30, $35 or $45 month to month. The rate is the same for 1 to 5 and 6 to 100 users; above 100 it’s a quote. The AI Receptionist (AIR) adds $39 a month with 100 minutes, then $0.50 a minute. If the calls you pay to answer are leads who want an appointment, book a call with the Carly team to see Carly Phone qualify them and book them on your real calendar.

What each RingEX plan includes

Core: $20 annually, $30 monthly

US and Canada calling, on-demand call recording, 100 toll-free minutes, 25 texts per user, HD meetings for up to 300 people, LLM plugins and MCP connectors, and the AI Virtual Assistant (captions, transcriptions, notes and summaries).

Best for: small teams that want a business line and video in one app. Watch out for: CRM integrations start on Advanced, so HubSpot and Salesforce teams skip Core.

Advanced: $25 annually, $35 monthly

The most popular plan. Adds CRM integrations, multi-site connections, core reporting, AI Writer, 1,000 toll-free minutes and 100 texts per user.

Best for: teams with a CRM and more than one location. Watch out for: those 1,000 toll-free minutes are pooled across the whole account, and every minute past them is 3.9¢. Teams on Advanced that want callers booked rather than routed can see Carly Phone on a call.

Ultra: $35 annually, $45 monthly

Adds 10,000 toll-free minutes, 200 texts per user, RingCentral Webinar with a 500-attendee license, historical and real-time insights, storage with no size cap (retention period applies, video recordings excluded) and device analytics.

Best for: multi-location businesses with heavy toll-free traffic or regular webinars. Watch out for: the $10 step from Advanced mostly buys toll-free minutes and webinars. Use neither and it buys very little.

Customer Engagement Bundle: quote only

Ultra plus the Business SMS Booster (shared SMS inbox, reply templates, compliance tools) and the Call Queues Booster (callback from queue, wait time alerts, live reports). AIR is still an add-on.

AI Receptionist and AI Conversation Expert pricing

AIR: $39 add-on or $49 standalone

RingCentral lists AIR with an AI phone menu, intelligent routing, appointment booking, and lead capture with SMS follow-up. From its FAQ:

  • $39 a month as a RingEX add-on, or $49 standalone on any phone system, each with 100 minutes.
  • $0.50 a minute after that. Minute bundles exist, with no published price.
  • Billed in 30-second increments, rounded up.
  • 14-day free trial on both.

Metered by the minute, not the call, so call length drives the bill:

AIR minutes per monthMonthly cost (add-on)Roughly, at 2.5 minutes a call
100$3940 calls
300$139120 calls
500$239200 calls
1,000$489400 calls

At 400 calls a month, AIR costs more than ten Advanced seats. Our RingCentral AI receptionist breakdown covers what it does on those calls. If most are prospects, what matters is what happens after the answer: Carly Phone checks the caller’s email and CRM history and books the right person on a real calendar. Get a walkthrough with your call volume.

ACE: from $60 per user

AI Conversation Expert is RingCentral’s conversation intelligence product for understanding calls and improving sales conversations. It starts at $60 per user per month on top of the seat, so a rep on Advanced with ACE costs at least $85 a month billed annually.

Texting: allowance, Booster and registration

  • Pooled allowance of 25, 100 or 200 texts per user per month. Overage is billed at current rates, and SMS bundles are for sale. Texting is off during the free trial.
  • Registration. RingCentral’s support center lists $19 per registration (brand application and campaign vetting), $15 again for each campaign resubmission, then $1.50 a month for a low-volume campaign (under 6,000 texts a day) or $10 a month standard. Every campaign carries a three-month minimum, and RingCentral adds no fee of its own.
  • Unregistered numbers fall outside your allowance and are charged $0.014 a text.
  • The shared inbox costs extra. The Business SMS Booster is listed at $25, and the card doesn’t say whether that’s per user or per account. Get it in writing on the quote.

If customers book with you by text, read our guide to SMS appointment booking, or ask the Carly team how Carly answers texts in an inbox your whole team can jump into.

Numbers, toll-free minutes and international

  • Extra local or toll-free numbers: $4.99 a month each. Vanity numbers are $30 once, then $4.99 a month.
  • Toll-free overage: 3.9¢ a minute once the pool runs out.
  • International: numbers from $5.99 per user per month, international toll-free numbers at $14.99 per user per month plus $25 once, and calls outside the US and Canada charged from RingCentral’s rate table.
  • Mobile User extensions are free until someone takes a call on one. That month, it’s billed like a full line.
  • Desk phone rental is only offered on a multi-year contract.

Keeping your current number? Carly Phone runs on it too. Book a call with the Carly team to talk through the move.

Contact center, video and the rest of the lineup

  • RingCX AI Contact Center: from $65 per agent, sold separately.
  • Video: RingCentral Video comes with RingEX, with meetings up to 300 participants. Free meetings accounts cap meetings at 50 minutes and 100 people.
  • Webinar: from $30 per organizer per month, included at 500 attendees on Ultra. The one-year Webinar 500 discount reverts to $75 per host per month after year one.
  • Events from $99 per organizer per month, Rooms from $39 per room per month, Push to Talk $5 per user per month.

Contracts, auto-renewal and early termination

From RingCentral’s Terms of Service:

  • Auto-renewal. Recurring services renew for the same length as your first term unless either side gives notice at least 30 days before the term ends. A three-year order renews as three more years.
  • Leaving early. Unless RingCentral materially breached the agreement, you owe everything accrued plus all charges remaining for the rest of the term, plus taxes and fees.
  • Price increases need notice no later than 30 days before the term ends and take effect at renewal. Administrative fees can rise on 30 days’ notice.
  • Invoices are due in 30 days, with late fees up to 1.5% a month.

The complaints follow those clauses. One RingCentral community post describes a contract that “renewed for 3 years automatically.” A Capterra reviewer wrote that after honoring a two-year contract, it auto-renewed for two more years and RingCentral would only release them for a full cancellation fee.

Calendar the renewal date 60 days out the day you sign, and send non-renewal notice in writing. See how to cancel RingCentral and RingCentral alternatives. If you’re weighing a switch before that window closes, get a Carly Phone walkthrough first.

What RingCentral costs for 5, 10 and 25 users

Before taxes and fees. Each uses AIR as a RingEX add-on and one low-volume texting campaign ($1.50 a month plus $19 once).

TeamPlanPer month, annual billingPer month, monthly billingYear one, annual billing

Tom, 25 peopleUltra$1,085.46$1,335.46$13,044.52

Claire’s 5-person bookkeeping firm

She works out of HubSpot, so Core is out. One main number, and AIR on about 150 minutes of overflow calls.

  • Advanced: 5 × $25 = $125
  • Main line: $4.99
  • AIR: $39 + 50 minutes × $0.50 = $64
  • Texting registration: $1.50
  • $195.49 a month, $2,364.88 in year one. Her real cost per seat is $39.10, about 56% above the sticker.

Marcus’s 10-person HVAC company

Two location numbers, and AIR on 300 minutes of homeowners asking for service.

  • Advanced: 10 × $25 = $250
  • Numbers: 2 × $4.99 = $9.98
  • AIR: $39 + 200 minutes × $0.50 = $139
  • Texting registration: $1.50
  • $400.48 a month, $4,824.76 in year one.

AIR is more than half his seat cost, and a busy summer at 600 minutes takes it to $289. Those callers want a technician booked, which is what Carly Phone does on a live call.

Tom’s 25-person agency: Advanced or Ultra

Three offices plus a toll-free line (four numbers, $19.96), about 3,000 toll-free minutes a month, and AIR on 400 minutes ($189).

  • Advanced: $625 in seats plus 2,000 overage minutes at 3.9¢ ($78). $913.46 a month.
  • Ultra: $875 in seats, toll-free covered. $1,085.46 a month.

Ultra costs $250 more in seats, and each 1,000 toll-free minutes over Advanced’s pool costs $39. On toll-free alone, Ultra only pays off above roughly 7,400 toll-free minutes a month. If six reps want ACE, add $360 on either plan. Before signing a 25-seat term, see Carly Phone on a call.

Where Carly fits

RingCentral suits teams that want phone, video, webinars and a contact center on one contract. Carly Phone is for businesses whose phone rings with people ready to buy: a business line run by Carly, the AI assistant, set up for you by the Carly team.

  • An AI receptionist that books. When nobody picks up or it’s after hours, Carly answers questions, qualifies the caller against your criteria, checks your real calendars, books the right person and can text a booking page or application link afterwards.
  • It knows who’s calling, because Carly already works in your email and CRM.
  • Calls and texts on one number, new or the one you have.
  • Routing built around you: ring the team at once or in order, business-hours and after-hours rules, call flows and phone menus.
  • A shared SMS inbox where Carly answers and anyone on the team can take over, with photos, attachments and opt-out handling.
  • Voicemail transcripts, call outcomes and summaries in one call inbox with resolve and reopen follow-up.
  • CRM logging to Carly’s built-in CRM and HubSpot, Salesforce or Dynamics 365, plus email, calendar and follow-ups. Carly connects to thousands of apps.

Whatever RingCentral sells a small or mid-sized business (shared numbers, routing, phone menus, voicemail transcription, call summaries, texting, AI answering, CRM sync, analytics), the Carly team sets up for clients. The difference is what an answered call becomes: a meeting on a real calendar, logged against everything you know about the caller.

Carly Phone is an add-on for teams, and pricing is set on a short call. The Carly team sets it up with you, and it’s live after one call. Book a call with the Carly team and bring your RingCentral invoice.

Stay on RingCentral if you need video, webinars, desk phones or a contact center on one contract. Look at Carly Phone if AIR minutes keep climbing, missed calls are lost bookings, or you want one assistant across phone, email and calendar.

FAQ

RingEX costs $20, $25 or $35 per user per month billed annually for Core, Advanced and Ultra, or $30, $35 or $45 monthly, from 1 to 100 users. Taxes, $4.99 extra numbers, texting registration and add-ons like the $39 AI Receptionist come on top.

Is RingCentral MVP the same as RingEX?

Yes. RingEX is the current name for the business phone plan RingCentral sold as MVP, so RingCentral MVP pricing now means RingEX’s Core, Advanced and Ultra.

How much does the RingCentral AI Receptionist cost?

$39 a month as a RingEX add-on or $49 standalone, each with 100 minutes. After that it’s $0.50 a minute, billed in 30-second increments and rounded up, with a 14-day free trial.

Does RingCentral have a free trial?

Yes, for new subscribers. It’s limited to five users and two desk phones, texting is off, and trial hardware goes back within 21 days of canceling. There’s no free phone plan.

Can you cancel RingCentral anytime?

Not without cost on an annual or multi-year order. Leaving early means paying the remaining charges for the term, and contracts auto-renew for the same length unless you give notice at least 30 days before the end.

Does RingCentral charge for texting?

Plans include 25, 100 or 200 texts per user per month, pooled. Registration is $19, then $1.50 a month for a low-volume campaign with a three-month minimum. The shared SMS inbox is in the $25 Business SMS Booster.
