Auto-Update Your CRM From Meeting Notes
Manual CRM entry is the tax you pay for every meeting you take. You have the call, you take the notes, and then you retype the same information into a deal record that already knows most of it. That step can be deleted, because your notes tool already holds the summary and your CRM already holds the record. The only missing piece is the connection between them. This walkthrough builds it: search the Carly integrations page for your meeting notes provider, and if yours is not on the list it still works, because Carly accepts any MCP. The example here uses Granola, where copying the MCP server URL, pasting it into connect an API, and approving access brings back six tools ready to use. From there you go to chat and describe what you want in plain language, which in this case is to put the meeting notes into the CRM whenever a meeting happens. The same setup works whatever CRM you run, since Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio and Carly's own built-in CRM all connect through that one integrations page.
Step by step
- 01
Delete the retyping step
Your notes tool already wrote the summary and your CRM already has the deal record. Nothing new needs to be created, so the only work left is connecting the two.
- 02
Find your meeting notes provider
Open the Carly integrations page and search for the tool you take notes in. A lot of them are supported directly, so check here before doing anything else.
- 03
Connect it with an MCP URL if it is not listed
Not being on the list does not block you, because Carly accepts any MCP. Copy the MCP server URL from your notes tool, choose connect an API, paste it in and press connect.
- 04
Approve access and check the tools
Approve the connection and confirm what came back. Granola loads six tools, which is how you know the link is live before you build anything on top of it.
- 05
Describe the automation in plain language
Go to chat and say what you want: when I have a meeting, put the meeting notes into my CRM. There is no rules builder to configure.
- 06
Push further than a note if you want
The same instruction can change a deal stage or update any other field. The simple version is enough to prove it works, then you extend it.
- 07
Trigger on a schedule when there is no webhook
If your notes tool cannot notify Carly the moment a meeting ends, nothing has to run live. Have the automation check every ten or thirty minutes and update the CRM when it finds something new.
- 08
Point the same pattern at other inputs
Meeting notes are one source. Email and calendar activity can drive the same kind of CRM updates once this one is running.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
