Agentforce: What It Is, Pricing, and Alternatives (2026)
Agentforce is Salesforce’s platform for AI agents that work inside the Salesforce stack: answering customers, booking meetings for reps, resolving cases and helping employees. Salesforce says more than 18,000 companies run on it.
It is also priced four different ways, and which one you land on decides whether it costs ten dollars a month or a six-figure contract.
The quick answer: Agentforce lets Salesforce customers build agents for service, sales development, scheduling and internal support, grounded in their Salesforce data. You can start free through Salesforce Foundations, then pay $500 per 100,000 Flex Credits (about $0.10 an action), $2 per customer conversation, $125 a user a month with employee use included, or from $550 a user a month for an Agentforce Max edition. If your team does not run on Salesforce, or wants agents working from its own inbox, calendar and phone line without an implementation project, Carly is self-serve: free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month.

What Agentforce does
Salesforce lists six jobs on the Agentforce page:
- Customer service: answer questions, resolve cases, manage orders and troubleshoot, on the phone, online and in apps, handing off to a person when needed
- Sales development: answer product questions, handle objections and book meetings for reps around the clock
- Appointment scheduling: book from history and context, then send reminders and reschedules
- Employee support: a task-specific agent for each employee that answers questions and automates routine work
- Product recommendations and event support
What shipped around Dreamforce 2026: purpose-built agents for sales, service and HR with prebuilt actions, a long-horizon runtime that lets an agent pursue a goal across days or weeks, an Agent Optimizer that flags bottlenecks, AI skills you teach once and reuse in Agentforce Coworker, and multi-agent orchestration that routes work between specialized agents.
Salesforce also now owns Fin, formerly Intercom. The $3.6 billion acquisition closed in September 2026, which adds another support agent to the same family.
Agentforce pricing (October 2026)
| Model | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Salesforce Foundations | $0 | Try Agentforce Builder, Prompt Builder, Agent Script and Coworker |
| Flex Credits | $500 per 100,000 credits | Pay per action. One action is 20 credits, about $0.10 |
| Conversations | $2 per conversation | Customer-facing agents |
| Agentforce add-ons | $125 per user a month | Employee use included, in Sales, Service or Field Service |
| Industries add-ons | $150 per user a month | The same for Salesforce’s industry clouds |
| Agentforce User License | $5 per user a month, plus Flex Credits | Agent access for every employee |
| Agentforce Max editions | From $550 per user a month | The add-on included, plus 2.75 million Flex Credits per org a year |
Salesforce’s own examples show how the per-action model adds up. A service agent handling 20 order-status requests a day at two actions each runs about $120 a month. One hundred users each managing three cases a day with agent help runs about $1,800 a month. Voice agents use more credits per call, and every action, whether it answers a question or updates a record, draws on the pool.
Agentforce launched in 2024 at $2 per conversation. Flex Credits arrived in 2025, and per-user add-ons sit alongside both. Budgeting means picking the model that matches how your agents will be used, before you know how they will be used.
Who Agentforce is for
Agentforce is the native choice when Salesforce is already your system of record. Its agents read your accounts, cases and orders directly, and your admins already know the permission model.
It is a harder fit for a team that runs on HubSpot, Pipedrive or a spreadsheet, or one without a Salesforce admin. Building, testing and tuning agents is a project, and the pricing assumes you know your volumes.

1. Carly
Carly does the jobs Agentforce lists for a team that wants them running this week.
- Service: customer calls, texts and email land in one team inbox. Carly answers when nobody can, books the customer on the right calendar and hands the conversation to a teammate when a person should take it. It detects a Spanish-speaking caller and answers in Spanish.
- Sales development: a new lead from your web form gets a call from your business number right away, then an email with your booking link and a text if they miss it. A demo no-show gets a rebook email with real open times.
- Scheduling: Carly finds times across everyone’s calendars, sends invites and runs booking pages.
- CRM: it connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio, moves deals when an email shows progress, and has its own CRM if you do not want another one.
Those jobs run as workflows that start on their own, and the agents you build run for the whole team. Carly connects to thousands of apps. You can also let ChatGPT or Claude place calls and send texts on your team line through Carly. Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started here.
2. Relevance AI
Relevance AI builds teams of specialist agents for enterprise go-to-market and operations, with an embedded deployment team. It dropped its free and self-serve plans in 2026 and now sells Enterprise only.
3. Sierra and Decagon
Sierra and Decagon are the enterprise customer-service agent platforms Agentforce most often competes with. Both sell by quote and suit large support teams. See Decagon vs Sierra.
4. HubSpot Breeze
Breeze is HubSpot’s set of AI agents for prospecting, customer service and content. It is the Agentforce equivalent if HubSpot is your CRM. See best AI assistants for HubSpot.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
