ChatGPT + Jobber: The MCP Server Jobber Never Announced
ChatGPT has no Jobber plugin. Jobber, on the other hand, has built an MCP server and said nothing about it. It is live right now on Jobber’s own domain, and it does less than you would hope. Add Carly to ChatGPT once and Jobber comes with it, in the same chat as your mail and calendar.
Where Jobber sits against ChatGPT’s plugin list
OpenAI renamed connectors to apps in December 2025 and moved the whole directory onto the Plugins surface on 9 July 2026, so “ChatGPT plugins”, “connectors” and “apps” all land you in the same place. What that place holds is Gmail, Google Drive with Docs and Sheets, Google Calendar, Outlook mail and calendar, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Slack, GitHub, Box and Dropbox, plus consumer names like Canva and Spotify. There is no field service software in it, and no Jobber entry.
That gap shows up the moment a job goes sideways. ChatGPT can read the email a property manager just sent about a boiler that failed overnight. It cannot tell you whether that building is already a client, which crew has the afternoon free, what you quoted them in March, or whether the March invoice was ever paid.
Jobber has built an MCP server, and has not told anyone
Every write-up you will find says Jobber has no MCP server. That stopped being true at some point this summer.
There is a working endpoint at mcp.getjobber.com. Ask it for a tool list and it returns a 401 with a proper bearer-token challenge, and the challenge names api.getjobber.com as the authorization server, which is Jobber’s own OAuth. A control path on the same host returns a plain 404, so this is not a wildcard or a marketing redirect. The certificate for the hostname was issued on 11 August 2026. Jobber has never mentioned it: it is absent from the AI features page and there is no help center article about it.
Two details matter more than its existence. First, the scopes it publishes: read access to clients, requests, quotes, jobs, invoices and visits, and write access to clients and requests only. An assistant on that server can create a client and log a request. Everything touching money or the schedule is look-but-do-not-touch, so it cannot approve a quote, raise an invoice or move a visit.
Second, Jobber’s sign-in has no self-registration step. A chat client cannot sign itself up, so pasting the URL into ChatGPT’s connector screen is not enough on its own. You need a client ID and secret issued by Jobber, which means an app in Jobber’s Developer Center. The handful of community Jobber servers run on credentials you generate the same way.
Add Jobber to ChatGPT through Carly

Jobber blocks a Draft app only once it connects to more than five paying Jobber accounts, and your own business is one account, so no app review and no partner program. Copy the client ID and secret, add Jobber in Carly on the integrations page, then authorize on Jobber’s own screen.

The partner language in Jobber’s developer docs reads like a locked door. It is written for software companies selling apps to other Jobber users, and connecting your own account is not that.

Jobber’s own AI is not a ChatGPT integration
Jobber ships a real AI suite and it is good at what it does. The Jobber work that happens after the chat closes
A plugin answers when you ask it something. Nothing in ChatGPT is watching your job board, and neither is Jobber’s own server.
Give Claude's Cowork tasks a time and they will run. Give them something that just happened and they will not. ChatGPT goes further, but only as far as Gmail, Slack and GitHub, only on web and mobile, and never alongside a schedule on the same task. A lead moving stage, a form landing, an invoice clearing: none of it starts either one. Carly starts on all of it.

What people report going wrong with ChatGPT’s custom connectors
Two public reports are worth reading before you hang a dispatch process on one. A thread opened on OpenAI’s developer forum on 25 August 2026 documents a custom connector that works on its first call in a conversation and then vanishes from the @ picker, with no second request ever reaching the server. The reporter reproduced it in the Chrome web client and the desktop app both, and a related Codex issue about tools disappearing in long threads has been open since 3 June 2026.
A second thread, opened 14 September 2026, tracks a regression starting around 20 August in which long tool-using turns stop interacting with connectors after roughly 25 to 26 minutes. Plus and Pro users report the same timing, on more than one server. Neither report is a reason to skip connectors. Both are a reason to keep the work with a clock on it somewhere other than a chat window.
FAQ
Does ChatGPT have a Jobber app? No. Jobber is not in ChatGPT’s app and plugin directory, and OpenAI’s list has no field service software on it at all. The way in is the Carly plugin, which brings Jobber with it.
Is there a Jobber MCP server?
Yes, and almost nobody knows. Jobber runs one at mcp.getjobber.com, guarded by its own OAuth. It has never been announced, it is not in the help center, and its write scopes cover clients and requests only.
Do I need Jobber’s approval to use the API? Not for your own business. An app stays in Draft until it connects to more than five paying Jobber accounts, and yours is one. The review process in Jobber’s docs applies to apps published to other Jobber users.
Can ChatGPT text a client the moment a quote is approved? Not on its own, because nothing in ChatGPT is watching for the approval. Carly fires on that event, writes the message, sends it, and records it against the job.
