An IT service desk showing tickets, a service catalog and change requests

Freshservice Pricing: $19 to $99 per Agent a Month

Freshservice costs $19, $49 or $99 per agent per month billed annually on Starter, Growth and Pro, or $29, $59 and $119 month to month. Enterprise is quoted.

Freddy AI Copilot is priced separately at $29 per agent per month on annual billing or $35 monthly, on every plan except Enterprise, where it is included. If AI is why you are buying an ITSM tool, add that line to whichever tier you are comparing.

Freshservice plans at a glance

PlanAnnual (per agent/mo)MonthlyAdds
Starter$19$29Incident, knowledge and task management, support portal
Growth$49$59Service catalog, SLA management, on-call, cloud management
Pro$99$119Problem, change and major incident management, releases
EnterpriseQuoteQuoteSandbox, audit logs, Freddy AI Insights, Freddy included

Every tier includes email, phone, chat and widget channels, the ServiceBot for Microsoft Teams and Slack, and the support portal.

Starter

$19 per agent per month billed annually. Incident management, knowledge management, task management and a support portal, on all four channels with the Teams and Slack bot.

Starter is a real service desk. What it is not is an ITSM implementation: there is no service catalog, no SLA management and no change process.

Growth

$49 per agent per month billed annually. Everything in Starter plus the service catalog, SLA management, on-call management and cloud management.

The service catalog is the usual reason to move up. A team that wants employees requesting things from a list rather than emailing a mailbox starts here.

Pro

$99 per agent per month billed annually. Everything in Growth plus problem management, change management, major incident management, workload management, release management and employee journeys.

Pro is the full ITIL process set. For a ten-agent team that is $990 a month annually or $1,190 monthly, before Freddy.

Enterprise

Quoted. Everything in Pro plus a sandbox, audit logs, Freddy AI Agent (Classic) and Freddy AI Insights, with Freddy AI included rather than added on.

What the pricing page glosses over

The annual discount is not 20% on every plan. The toggle advertises “Save 20% Annually.” Growth and Pro do save about 17%, going $59 to $49 and $119 to $99. Starter goes $29 to $19, which is nearly 35%. The cheapest plan has by far the biggest annual discount, and the headline understates it.

Freddy AI Copilot is per agent, on top. At $29 per agent annually it is more expensive than the entire Starter plan and over half the price of Growth. A ten-agent team on Growth wanting AI pays $780 a month, not $490.

The AI add-on price changes with billing period too. $29 per agent annually, $35 monthly. It is easy to price the plan on annual and the add-on on monthly by accident.

Enterprise is the only plan with Freddy included. Everywhere else, AI is a line item. If AI is central to the business case, the comparison that matters is Pro plus Freddy against an Enterprise quote.

Change management sits at Pro. Many teams shopping for an ITSM tool are shopping for change control specifically, and it is two tiers up from the entry price, at more than five times the cost per agent.

Is Freshservice free?

No. There is no free plan. Freshservice offers a free trial on Starter, Growth and Pro, and the cheapest ongoing option is Starter at $19 per agent per month billed annually.

When Freshservice isn’t the whole answer

Freshservice is a well-regarded service desk and the per-agent pricing is clear once you account for the AI add-on. If you need change management and a service catalog, Pro is competitive against the enterprise ITSM incumbents.

Where it stops is the work that never becomes a ticket. The director who emails IT directly instead of using the portal. The vendor call that needs booking with three people and a maintenance window. The weekly update to a stakeholder who does not read the dashboard. Service desks are excellent at structured requests and blind to the unstructured ones sitting in a shared mailbox.

That is what Carly is for. Zapier-style workflows are free, so a rule like “when a request lands in the IT mailbox, classify it, reply with next steps and book the call if one is needed” costs nothing to run. Booking pages and connected calendars are unlimited, so a maintenance window can be agreed in one message rather than five. Every Gmail and Outlook account connects as its own authorized connection, including shared mailboxes, so replies come from the address people already write to. The agent that reads the thread, drafts the reply and books the meeting starts at $35 a month, and Carly connects to thousands of apps, Freshservice included.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
