Freshdesk Pricing: Plans, AI Sessions, and Day Passes
Freshdesk costs $19, $55, or $89 per agent per month billed annually, or $23, $66, and $107 billed monthly. The three plans are Growth, Pro, and Enterprise, and annual billing saves 20% across all of them.
The change worth knowing before you compare: there is no free Freshdesk plan on the pricing page. Growth is the entry tier. Plenty of comparison articles still list a free plan for small teams, and that is not what Freshworks sells today.
Freshdesk plans at a glance
| Plan | Annual (per agent/mo) | Monthly | Day pass |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $19 | $23 | $2 |
| Pro | $55 | $66 | $7 |
| Enterprise | $89 | $107 | $12 |
Every plan includes the Freddy AI Agent with the first 500 sessions included, which is unusually generous placement for an AI feature. It sits on the cheapest tier rather than behind the most expensive one.
Growth
$19 per agent per month billed annually. Ticketing and a shared inbox, a customer portal and knowledge base, out-of-the-box analytics and reporting, threads and tasks, and roles and permissions. Freddy AI Agent with 500 sessions included.
Growth is a working helpdesk for a small team answering email. Its limits are on the routing and reporting side rather than the volume side.
Pro
$55 per agent per month billed annually. Everything in Growth plus a multilingual helpdesk, custom dashboards and reporting, intelligent routing, multiple SLA policies, and external collaborators.
Pro is also the first tier where the Freddy AI Copilot add-on becomes available, at $29 per agent a month annually or $35 monthly. The jump from Growth is 189%, which is the largest step in the range by a wide margin.
Enterprise
$89 per agent per month billed annually. Everything in Pro plus skill-based routing, a sandbox, audit logs, allowed domains and IP whitelisting, and Freddy AI Insights.
The 14-day free trial runs on the Enterprise feature set, so a trial is not a preview of the plan you are likely to buy.
The add-ons and usage charges
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Freddy AI Copilot | $29/agent/month annually, $35 monthly, Pro and Enterprise only |
| Additional AI Agent sessions | $49 per 100 sessions |
| Day passes | $2 on Growth, $7 on Pro, $12 on Enterprise |
| Connector app tasks | $80 per 5,000 tasks |
Day passes are the underrated line. They let an occasional helper work tickets for a day without a full agent licence, which is exactly right for a support team that surges at product launches or over a holiday. The pass price scales with the plan, so a Growth day pass at $2 is close to free and an Enterprise one at $12 is a real decision.
What the pricing page glosses over
The free plan is not on the pricing page. Growth at $19 a year-committed agent is the entry point. If a comparison table you are reading shows a $0 Freshdesk column, it is describing an older lineup.
500 AI sessions is a monthly allowance, and the overage is priced like a product. $49 per 100 additional sessions is 49 cents a session, which for a busy queue adds up faster than a seat does.
Copilot is not available on Growth. The cheapest way to get AI assistance inside the agent’s workflow is Pro at $55 plus $29 for Copilot, so $84 an agent annually committed.
Connector app tasks are metered. $80 per 5,000 tasks applies to the integrations layer on every tier, so automation that touches other systems has a running cost attached.
Is Freshdesk free?
Not on the current pricing page. There is a 14-day free trial that gives full Enterprise access and no permanently free tier.
When Freshdesk isn’t worth it
Freshdesk is well built and, at $19 an agent, among the cheaper serious helpdesks. If several people work a shared queue and you want SLAs, routing and a knowledge base, the entry price is genuinely low for what arrives.
The mismatch is the one-person or two-person business that bought a helpdesk because email got out of hand. That business ends up on Pro at $55 an agent for intelligent routing, adds Copilot at $29, and is now paying $84 a head to make a shared inbox behave, while AI sessions meter in the background.
If the actual problem is that mail across several accounts needs reading, routing, answering and following up, Carly is priced for that shape. Every Gmail and Outlook account connects as its own authorized connection, so one assistant works across all of them and replies from the address that owns the thread. The triage and routing layer is a workflow, and Carly’s Zapier-style workflow steps are free rather than metered per task. The assistant that drafts, sends and schedules on top starts at $35 a month rather than per agent.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
