Mindbody Pricing: One Number and Three Quotes

Mindbody publishes exactly one number: starting at $79 per month per location. The three plans, Starter, Accelerate, and Ultimate, all carry a “Let’s talk” button rather than a price, and Mindbody’s own page invites you to contact sales about discounts based on your studio’s size and budget.

That is the honest state of Mindbody pricing. What you can work out from the published feature comparison is what moves you up a tier, which is more useful than a number you would not have been quoted anyway.

Unlimited users on every tier is the genuinely good part of this pricing. Mindbody’s own wording is that you grow your team without paying for additional logins, which is the opposite of how most software in this category bills, and it means the per-location price is the whole staffing story.

Starter

Business management tools for team, schedule, inventory and revenue. Integrated payments with no monthly fees and no minimums. Branded, mobile-friendly booking widgets you embed on your own site, a full business website with booking built in, a listing on the Mindbody consumer app, and basic reporting.

Starter is a complete booking and payments operation. What it lacks is the scheduling depth and the marketing layer.

Accelerate

Everything in Starter plus room and resource management for scheduling spaces, chairs and rentals, client Pick-a-Spot so members choose their place when booking a class, promo codes, advanced reporting and analytics, and access to premium add-ons.

Resource management is the practical dividing line. A yoga studio with one room may never need it. A salon with chairs, or a gym renting equipment and space, needs it on day one.

Ultimate

Everything in Accelerate plus automated email and text campaigns with templates, tools to grow marketing lists, a built-in sales pipeline for lead management, next-level analytics on client growth and retention, higher message limits with lower rates on marketing emails and texts, and the AI Concierge included rather than as an add-on.

The AI Concierge is a 24/7 front desk assistant that answers client questions, responds to missed calls, and turns them into bookings. It is an add-on on Accelerate and included on Ultimate, which is a common reason studios move up.

What sits behind an add-on

The branded mobile app, letting clients book, buy and manage accounts under your own brand, is an add-on on both Accelerate and Ultimate and is not available on Starter. The AI Concierge is an add-on on Accelerate and included on Ultimate. Neither carries a published price.

What the pricing page glosses over

$79 is a floor, per location. A two-studio business is looking at two of whatever it is quoted, and the page’s own reference to discounts by size implies the per-location rate moves.

Three of three tiers are quoted. Even Starter, the one with a published starting price, ends in a sales conversation. Nothing on the page is self-serve checkout.

Marketing is the whole of Ultimate. Email and SMS campaigns, list growth, and the lead pipeline are all Ultimate-only. If your growth plan is email marketing, the tier is chosen for you regardless of studio size.

Payment processing has no monthly fee, and that is separate from the software. No monthly fees and no minimums on point of sale is a real saving against providers that charge both, but processing rates still apply per transaction.

Is Mindbody free?

No. There is no free plan and no self-serve trial on the pricing page. Every path goes through a conversation with sales.

When Mindbody isn’t worth it

Mindbody is the incumbent in fitness and wellness for defensible reasons. The consumer app puts a studio in front of millions of people already searching for classes, class scheduling with resources and spot selection is genuinely specialized, and unlimited staff logins is unusually fair.

Where it fits badly is the small practice that does not need a class marketplace. A solo massage therapist, a two-chair salon, a personal trainer with a book of regulars: they are quoted a per-location platform price mostly for appointment booking, reminders, and the follow-up that keeps clients rebooking.

If that is the job, Carly is priced for it plainly rather than quoted. Booking pages and connected calendars are unlimited, appointment reminders and rebooking nudges are Zapier-style workflow steps that are free rather than a tier feature, and the assistant that answers the client email, replies, and puts the appointment on the calendar starts at $35 a month. Carly connects to thousands of apps, Mindbody included, so a studio already running on it keeps its class schedule and adds the front desk.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
