Motion Pricing 2026: Plans, AI Credits and Annual Billing
Motion has two plans, Pro AI and Business AI, and each has four prices. What you pay depends on whether you buy as an individual or a team, and whether you bill monthly or annually. The widely quoted “$19 a month” is the cheapest of the eight: Pro AI, per seat, on a team, paid a year up front.
The quick answer: a solo user pays $29/month for Pro AI billed annually ($348 up front) or $49 month to month. Teams pay $19 or $29 per seat. If what you need is meetings booked with other people and your inbox handled, rather than your own tasks auto-scheduled, Carly starts at $35/month and has free Zapier-style workflows.

The page opens on the Teams tab with annual billing selected (“Save 33%”), which is why the low figures travel. There is no free plan, and there is no longer a separate AI Employee tier on the pricing page.
Pro AI
Pro AI is the core Motion product: the AI task planner that auto-schedules your to-do list into open calendar time, plus projects, calendar and meetings, AI docs and notes, an AI writer, iOS, Android and desktop apps, and integrations. It includes 7,500 AI credits per seat per month, with overage at 25¢ per 100 credits.

Business AI
Business AI adds advanced dashboards and reports, timeline and Gantt views, time tracking, permissions and access control, central billing and priority support. It doubles the credits to 15,000 per seat per month, with overage at 19¢ per 100.

- Team: $29/seat/month billed annually or $49/seat/month.
What it really costs
- Josh, a freelancer on Pro AI: $348 a year paid up front, or $588 a year paying monthly.
- Emily’s five-person team on Pro AI: $1,140 a year on annual billing, or $145 a month.
- The same team on Business AI: $1,740 a year on annual billing, or $245 a month.
Add credit overage if you lean on Motion’s AI features. The seat price covers the credit bucket, not unlimited AI use.
Pricing gotchas to watch
Solo buyers pay the most. The Individuals tab costs more per seat than the Teams tab: $49 versus $29 a month for the same Pro AI plan. Compare the right tab before you decide Motion is cheap.
Annual means a full year up front. The annual rates are charged as a single payment. Motion’s terms of service say purchases are non-refundable, and its cancellation page says the same. Refused refunds after an unexpected annual renewal are the most common complaint in our Motion review.
The trial takes billing details. Motion’s free trial requires billing details up front, and the plan you picked starts billing automatically unless you cancel first. If you are only testing, set a reminder.
Credits are metered. Each plan has a fixed monthly credit bucket. Heavy AI use means overage charges on top of the seat price.
Does Motion have a free plan?
No. The only no-cost option is the free trial, which needs billing details at signup. When it ends, the paid plan you chose starts billing; there is no free tier to fall back to.
