Paperless Post Pricing 2026: Coins, Free Sends, Pro Plan
Paperless Post prices by the guest, in coins, and the price per guest depends on which bundle of features your design uses. The first 50 sends can be free. After that, everything costs something.
The quick answer: on the Free feature set, your first 50 invitations by email or phone cost nothing. Paid bundles at 30 guests run $19.20 (Basic), $36.00 (Premium), or $50.40 (All Access), and the per-guest rate drops as the list grows. Paperless Pro replaces coins with a yearly plan, $250 for 250 guests or $400 for 500. If you mainly need the RSVPs, reminders, and guest list handled, CarlyEvents is free to start and can be run from Claude or ChatGPT.
Prices below were read from Paperless Post’s pricing calculator on October 11, 2026, for a Card. Flyers came out the same per guest at every count we checked.
How Paperless Post coins work
Coins are Paperless Post’s credits. Each design has a cost in coins per recipient, set by the feature bundle it uses, and you multiply that by your guest count. You can buy exactly the coins you need after adding your guest list, or buy a package ahead of time. Unused coins carry over to future events, but they only work on Paperless Post.
To make an invitation cheaper, open the “Coins per invite” dropdown in the editor, see which features are pushing it into a higher bundle, and remove them.
What each bundle costs
| Guests | Free | Basic | Premium | All Access |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | $0 | $11.52 | $19.20 | $26.88 |
| 30 | $0 | $19.20 | $36.00 | $50.40 |
| 40 | $0 | $22.40 | $46.00 | $60.80 |
| 50 | $0 | $25.00 | $52.50 | $72.00 |
| 75 | $12.00 | $36.00 | $67.50 | $96.00 |
| 100 | $18.50 | $46.00 | $85.00 | $120.00 |
Per guest, Premium goes from $1.60 at 12 guests to $0.85 at 100. The Free column only stays at zero for the first 50 invitations you send directly through Paperless Post. Beyond that, a free design costs one coin per guest.
What each bundle includes
Free. Upload your own photo, page color, images and stickers, and the essential blocks (links, details, registry, gift, schedule). Short-answer and mailing-address guest questions are included.
Basic. Everything in Free, plus Magic Fonts, exclusive page styles, and full-size media.
Premium. Adds the parts Paperless Post is known for: envelopes with liners and stamps, backdrops, premium page styles and colors, and rich content blocks (photo gallery, video, wedding party, speakers, travel, accommodations).
All Access. Adds a custom URL, custom emails, your own logo and branding, a sponsors block, multiple-choice guest surveys, guest tags, guest check-in, password protection, and advanced analytics.
Every bundle can be sent by text, email, or shareable link, and includes RSVP tracking, broadcasts, and private messages to guests.
Paperless Pro: the yearly plan
Paperless Pro drops coins entirely and gives you every feature for a yearly fee based on how many guests you’ll reach in a year.
| Annual guests | Price |
|---|---|
| 250 | $250 a year |
| 500 | $400 a year |
Larger tiers run up to 5,000 guests and beyond. A “guest” is counted each time you send an invitation through Paperless Post or someone RSVPs through a shareable link, and inviting the same person to two events counts twice. If you run out mid-year, you upgrade by paying the difference between tiers. Subscriptions are non-refundable, though you can cancel and keep access until the term ends.
Nonprofits, schools, and universities get 25% off both coins and subscriptions with 501(c)(3) paperwork.
When Pro beats paying per event
Pro’s 250-guest plan is $250. Two 100-guest events on the Premium bundle would cost $170 in coins, so Pro doesn’t win until a third event, and then only if you’re using Premium or All Access features. Someone sending one wedding invitation a year should pay per event.
How it compares to Evite
Evite charges one price per event in steps ($17.99 up to 12 guests, $36.99 up to 30, $68.99 up to 75, $99.99 up to 750) and shows ads on free invitations. Paperless Post is cheaper at almost every size on its Basic bundle and close to Evite on Premium. The side-by-side is in Evite vs Paperless Post, and Evite’s tiers are broken down in Evite pricing.
If the guest list is the hard part
Paperless Post’s best guest tools (tags, check-in, surveys, analytics) sit in its top bundle. CarlyEvents puts them on every event and is free to start:
- 48 occasions with 11 designs each, or upload your own HTML
- RSVPs with plus-ones, custom questions, and a waitlist
- Households and tags, import from a spreadsheet
- Reminders that go only to the people who haven’t replied
- Delivery and open activity per guest, and check-in from your phone
Guests click a link or reply to the email in plain words. No app, no account.
And because CarlyEvents works over MCP, you can run it from Claude or ChatGPT: “Duplicate last spring’s fundraiser, import this list, add a meal-choice question, and show me the invitation before you send it.” See create event invitations with ChatGPT for the setup.
Common questions
Is Paperless Post free? Partly. Designs on the Free feature set can be sent free to your first 50 guests by email or phone. Larger lists and paid design features cost coins.
How much is one coin? It varies with how many you buy. In the calculator, Premium designs use 5 coins per guest and cost $1.60 a guest at 12 guests but $0.85 at 100, so the per-coin price falls with volume.
Do coins expire? Paperless Post says unused coins can be used for future events.
What does Paperless Pro cost? $250 a year for 250 guests and $400 for 500, with larger tiers above that.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Paperless Post? CarlyEvents is free to start and includes guest questions, reminders, and check-in on every event. Evite’s free designs are another option if ads don’t bother you.
