PracticePanther Pricing: Four Tiers, $49 to $124
PracticePanther publishes all four of its prices, which already makes it unusual in legal practice management. Solo is $59 per user per month, or $49 paid annually. The ladder runs up through Essential, Business and Business Pro to $124 per user per month, or $114 annually.
The four plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Annual saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $59/user | $49/user | 17% |
| Essential | $79/user | $69/user | 13% |
| Business | $99/user | $89/user | 10% |
| Business Pro | $124/user | $114/user | 8% |
The annual discount is the same $10 everywhere
PracticePanther describes the annual deal as “Save $120/user/year,” and that is literally true on all four tiers. It is $10 a user a month off, whether you are paying $59 or $124.
Because the discount is a fixed amount rather than a percentage, it is worth far more at the bottom of the ladder than the top. A solo attorney paying annually cuts 17% off the bill. A firm on Business Pro cuts 8%. If you are choosing between paying monthly for flexibility and paying annually for the discount, that decision is much easier to make on Solo than it is on Business Pro.
What each tier adds
Solo covers the core: internal chat, real-time notifications, native ePayments through PantherPayments, a daily agenda email, document templates, and task and event workflows.
Essential adds custom fields, custom security roles, invoice read alerts, and multiple bank accounts. Three of those four are things a firm wants the moment it stops being one person, which is a reasonable place to draw the line.
Business is where client communication lands: native two-way texting, intake forms, native eSignature with unlimited sends, the attorney revenue report, and LEDES billing. If you do insurance defense or any work that requires LEDES-format invoices, Business is your floor, not Solo.
Business Pro is the accounting tier. PantherAccounting Plus, trust accounting, operating accounting, enhanced reconciliation, and GL, AR and expense management.
What the price does not include
Court deadline calculation is a separate subscription. PracticePanther can add deadlines to your calendar by court jurisdiction, but that runs through LawToolBox and requires a subscription with them. It is not bundled into any tier.
Payment processing is its own cost. PantherPayments handles credit card and eCheck payments natively, at processing rates separate from the per-user fee.
eSignature is unlimited only from Business up. Solo and Essential get document templates, not native signing.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, and it does not ask for a card. You enter an email address and start, with no commitment. Data migration from another platform is handled by a dedicated team, and export is available at any time if you leave.
What the per-user price does not solve
PracticePanther is priced sensibly and it publishes its numbers, which is more than most of this category manages. For a firm that bills hours and needs trust accounting that survives an audit, the ladder is fair.
What no per-user price fixes is the volume of messages that never become billable time. The prospective client who calls on Thursday and gets a callback on Monday. The consultation that takes six emails to schedule. The client asking for a status update that a paralegal answers by reading the matter file and retyping it.
That is the part Carly takes on. Zapier-style workflows are free, so a rule like “when an intake form arrives, check the calendar and send three consultation times” costs nothing to run. Booking pages and connected calendars are unlimited, so every attorney can hand out their own link instead of trading availability by email. Every Gmail and Outlook account connects as its own authorized connection, so replies go out from the address the client already writes to. The agent that reads the thread, drafts the reply and books the consultation starts at $35 a month rather than per seat, and Carly connects to thousands of apps, PracticePanther included.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
