Town AI Pricing (2026): Every Plan, Credit and Catch

Town costs $0, $15, $59, $119 or $239 a month for one person on monthly billing, or $49, $99 and $199 if you pay a year up front. Teams pay $71 or $179 per seat each month. Every paid plan is a bucket of credits, and Town doesn’t say how many credits a task costs. The credits expire each month, and Town doesn’t give refunds.

Town raised $108 million at a $1 billion valuation on October 19, per TechCrunch, four months after launch. Expect the plans to keep moving.

What a Town credit actually buys

Town’s pricing page says a credit is “the usage unit consumed when the assistant does work for you.” Its credits docs say a quick question “uses very little” and bigger jobs “use more.” That’s the whole price list. There’s no cost for a reply, a meeting briefing or a routine run, so you can’t work out your bill until you’ve run up a month of usage.

What the docs do spell out:

  • The busiest setup costs the most. Town’s own credits page calls a routine that runs on every incoming email “the heaviest setup there is.” That’s exactly what you want from an assistant that works your inbox.
  • Credits expire. Unused credits don’t carry over to the next month.
  • No top-ups. You can’t buy a one-off pack of credits. You pay overage or move up a plan.
  • No moving them. Credits can’t go to a teammate or from your personal account to your team.

The catches

  • The $15 plan can’t react to email. Starter routines run on a schedule, at most once a day. Live triggers like “when a new email arrives” start at Pro, $59 a month.
  • Your inboxes are capped. Two email accounts on Starter, five on Pro, ten on Power. Run three businesses with two inboxes each and you’re on a $119 plan.
  • Overage costs about four times the included rate. Pro’s 5,000 included credits work out to $9.80 per 1,000 on yearly billing. Past that you pay $0.044 a credit, or $44 per 1,000.
  • No refunds. Town’s billing docs say it “does not offer refunds.” Cancel and you keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
  • The trial can end early. The 7-day Pro trial stops at 7 days or when the trial credits run out, whichever comes first.
  • No phone line. Town’s plans cover chat, email, Slack, WhatsApp and Telegram. There’s no business number, no calls answered, no calls placed.

What a team pays

Five people on Team cost $355 a month on monthly billing, or $295 a month paid yearly, for 30,000 pooled credits. One busy teammate can drain that pool for everyone. On Team Plus the same five people pay $895 a month.

What the same money gets you with Carly

Carly is an AI assistant for your email, calendar, phone and texts, and the agents you build to run your business.

  • Every inbox, no cap. Connect every Gmail and Outlook account you have. Carly labels, sorts and replies in each one, by your rules. Write a rule.
  • Live triggers from day one. A new email, a booking, a form, a CRM change or a time of day starts a free Zapier-style workflow. Steps that don’t need AI don’t cost you anything.
  • Calls and texts. Carly answers your business line 24/7 in English or Spanish, calls new leads back within a minute, texts the people you work with and texts back every missed call.
  • It calls you, too. “Call me every weekday at 8am with my day” and your phone rings at 8am.
  • Advanced calendar work. It checks every calendar before booking and runs booking pages with round robin.
  • You decide who it answers. Give each contact a level: Full, Standard, Limited or Blocked. Replies can go out on their own or wait as drafts for a teammate to approve.
  • Agents for each job. Build agents for scheduling, lead follow-up or invoice chasing, each with its own email address, plus a built-in CRM.
  • Inside your AI. Add the Carly plugin in ChatGPT, or the Carly connector in Claude, and set it all up from the chat.
  • Thousands of apps. Carly connects to thousands of apps, from HubSpot and Salesforce to QuickBooks and Slack.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
