How to Connect Multiple Outlook Accounts to Claude

Claude's built-in mail connector authorizes one account per provider, so a second Outlook address replaces the first instead of joining it. Work mail, personal mail and the aliases you actually check end up invisible, and every question you ask comes back half-blind. This walkthrough fixes that with the Carly connector, which holds every address at once and hands them all to Claude through a single connection. You open Customize in Claude, press Connectors, search for Carly and press Connect. That takes you through a login that creates your Carly account. Then you open the Integrations tab, add each email address you want Carly to check, Outlook and Gmail alike, and press connect email. There is no cap on how many you add. Back in Claude you just chat normally, and one request covers all of them: search every mailbox, draft and send replies, archive or label in bulk, check the calendar and book the meeting. Because Claude is asking Carly, anything Carly reaches Claude reaches too, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio and Close for CRM, Intercom, Zendesk and Freshdesk for support, and Google Docs, Google Slides and SharePoint for documents. Nothing installs. It is a connector and a login.

Step by step

  1. 01

See why one Outlook account is the ceiling

Claude's built-in mail connector holds one account per provider. Connect a second Outlook address and it replaces the first, so switching between work and personal mail means disconnecting and reauthorizing every time.

  2. 02

Add the Carly connector in Claude

Open Customize, press Connectors, and search for Carly. Press Connect. Carly is a listed connector, so there is no URL to paste and nothing to install.

  3. 03

Create your Carly account in the login flow

Connecting takes you straight through the login that creates the account. It is the same sign-in you would use at usecarly.com, and you only do it once.

  4. 04

Add every Outlook address you check

Open the Integrations tab and add each email account under Email, then press connect email. Outlook and Gmail sit side by side on the same list, and there is no cap on how many you add.

  5. 05

Go back to Claude and ask across all of them at once

Check all my Outlook mailboxes for anything about the Q4 renewal and tell me which threads still need a reply today. One request covers every inbox you added.

  6. 06

Let it write, not just read

Draft and send replies, forward a thread, archive or label in bulk, unsubscribe from a sender, then check the calendar and book the meeting without leaving the chat.

  7. 07

Reach the rest of your stack through the same connection

Anything Carly reaches, Claude reaches. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio and Close for CRM. Intercom, Zendesk and Freshdesk for support. Google Docs, Google Slides and SharePoint for documents.

  8. 08

Move the recurring work into a workflow

The connector only acts while you have a chat open, so anything that should happen the moment an email lands belongs in a Carly workflow. Catching promises you make by email, auto-archiving newsletters and saving new senders to Outlook contacts are copy-paste from the template library.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
