ChatGPT + Wise Agent: How to Connect Them in 2026

ChatGPT can reach Wise Agent, but not through an official plugin: as of September 2026 there is no Wise Agent plugin in ChatGPT, no Wise Agent MCP server, and Wise Agent doesn’t hand its developer API to individual agents. The route that works is Zapier MCP, which adds Wise Agent’s Zapier actions to ChatGPT as a custom plugin. That gets you lead lookups, new contacts, and notes from a chat. What it can’t do is jump when a lead lands, because no Wise Agent event can start ChatGPT.

One naming note: the “Wise MCP” servers online are for Wise, the money-transfer company, not this CRM.

What ChatGPT can do with Wise Agent

Through Zapier’s Wise Agent CRM app, ChatGPT gets seven actions:

  • Find a lead. Look up a contact by email, by phone, or by Wise Agent ID.
  • Add or update a lead. Name, phones, email, address, source, categories, and a note.
  • Log a note. Create a note with a subject on one or more contacts.
  • Add an address. Attach an extra address, such as a second home or a property they’re interested in.
  • Record a site visit. Log that a contact viewed a web page or listing.

That’s the whole list. Calendar, tasks, transactions, and drip programs aren’t included, so “what showings do I have tomorrow?” won’t work.

Why there’s no direct API route

Wise Agent has a real developer API covering contacts, notes, calendar, properties, tasks, marketing programs, and transaction notes, with webhooks for contact, task, property, and note changes.

The catch sits at the top of those docs: the API “is built for larger partner integrations,” and Wise Agent says, “We don’t issue API credentials to individual teams or agents.” Partners get an OAuth client after review. That’s why GitHub has no community Wise Agent MCP server to deploy; we found none on September 29.

What every account does get is a personal API Key and a Lead Capture Email, both under Integrations → Settings → API Keys and Lead Email. Zapier uses that key, and the capture address turns any lead notification email into a new contact.

How to connect ChatGPT to Wise Agent

  1. Copy your Wise Agent API key. In Wise Agent, open Integrations → Settings, expand API Keys and Lead Email, and copy the API Key.
  2. Connect Wise Agent to Zapier. In your Zapier account, add a Wise Agent CRM connection and paste the key. Wise Agent’s Zapier guide walks through it.
  3. Turn on Developer mode. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Security and login and switch it on. OpenAI offers it on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts on the web.
  4. Add Zapier MCP as a plugin. Open Plugins, click Add, choose Create MCP App, paste https://mcp.zapier.com/api/v1/connect as the server URL, keep OAuth, and sign in to Zapier when prompted.
  5. Pick the actions. In Zapier MCP, allow the Wise Agent CRM actions you want ChatGPT to use. Start with the lookups.
  6. Test with a read. Ask “find the Wise Agent lead with the email josh@example.com” before you let it add or change anything.

Budget the tasks. Zapier says each MCP tool call uses two tasks from the same quota your Zaps draw on, so a chat that runs five lookups costs ten.

Wise Agent’s own AI is not a ChatGPT integration

Wise Agent already runs AI inside the CRM. Its AI Writing Assistant, which Wise Agent says is powered by GPT-4, drafts marketing content for your campaigns and listings. Its AI Bot reaches out to new leads through Wise Agent’s lead automation, sorts them as buyers, sellers, renters, or financing leads, and follows up with quiet ones up to 25 times over 12 months, in English or Spanish.

Both stay inside Wise Agent. Neither connects to your ChatGPT account, reads your Gmail, or books a showing on your calendar.

The limits that matter

  • No Wise Agent trigger in ChatGPT. ChatGPT’s scheduled tasks run a prompt on a clock, and tasks created in ChatGPT Work can use plugins. OpenAI documents event-triggered tasks only for Gmail, Slack and GitHub events. Wise Agent’s webhooks belong to the partner API, and ChatGPT has nowhere to receive them anyway.
  • Custom plugins in unattended runs are fragile. See why a connector is unavailable in a scheduled task.
  • Results stay in the chat. ChatGPT can find a lead, but calling or texting them back is still your job.

Wise Agent work that runs on its own: Carly

A lead is worth the most in its first few minutes, and the notification usually lands while you’re at a showing.

Carly is an AI executive assistant that works over email and text. It runs workflows in the cloud on a schedule or when an email, calendar event, or form comes in, with no chat open, and you set them up in plain English.

Connecting Wise Agent to Carly takes one step: copy the API Key from Integrations → Settings → API Keys and Lead Email, open carlyassistant.com/integrations, and paste it under Custom API Keys. For brand-new leads, Carly can also send the details to your Wise Agent Lead Capture Email, which creates the contact on Wise Agent’s side. There’s no Zapier account, plugin, or task quota involved. More on the Wise Agent integration page.

Then ask for things like:

  • “When a lead email arrives from my website contact form, send it to my Wise Agent lead capture address, text me their name and number, and reply to the lead with three showing times from my calendar.”
  • “When a Zillow lead notification lands, text me the lead’s details right away and email the lead two times I’m free to talk today.”
  • “When a buyer replies to pick a showing time, send the calendar invite and add a note to their Wise Agent record.”
  • “When the title company emails a new closing date, move the closing on my calendar and note the change on the client’s Wise Agent record.”

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the same workflow can send from Gmail or Outlook, put the showing on Google Calendar, or log it in Google Sheets. Pricing: Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month.

If you still like asking questions in ChatGPT, add the Carly plugin and set up those workflows from inside a chat.

Frequently asked questions

Does ChatGPT have an official Wise Agent integration? No. As of September 2026 there is no Wise Agent plugin in ChatGPT and no official Wise Agent MCP server. The working route is Zapier MCP added as a custom plugin in Developer mode, or the Carly plugin with your Wise Agent API key.

Can I get Wise Agent developer API access for my own AI setup? Not as an individual agent or team. Wise Agent reserves the developer API for partner integrations. Every account can copy its own API Key and Lead Capture Email under Integrations → Settings → API Keys and Lead Email, which is what Zapier and Carly use.

Isn’t Wise Agent’s AI Writing Assistant already ChatGPT? Wise Agent says the writing assistant is powered by GPT-4, but it’s a feature inside Wise Agent. It doesn’t connect to your ChatGPT account and can’t see your inbox or calendar.

Can ChatGPT text a new lead the moment they come in? No. OpenAI documents ChatGPT event triggers only for Gmail, Slack and GitHub events, and Zapier MCP gives it no way to send a text. Carly starts from the lead notification email, sends it to your Wise Agent lead capture address, texts you, and offers the lead showing times from your own inbox.

How much does Wise Agent cost? The CRM plan is $49 a month billed monthly, or $499 a year billed annually. CRM + WiseSocial is $69 a month, or $699 a year. Both include up to five team members on a shared login and a 14-day free trial.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
