Claude + Lodgify: The MCP, the API and What Works

Lodgify says you can connect it to Claude through its MCP, but as of October 13, 2026 there’s no public guide for doing it. The way in that works today takes two minutes: copy your Lodgify API key into Carly, add the Carly connector to Claude, and your bookings and properties are in the chat.

What Lodgify MCP is, and why you can’t add it yet

Lodgify’s AI page advertises “Lodgify MCP”: connect Lodgify to ChatGPT, Claude or any AI assistant that speaks Model Context Protocol, then read bookings, change settings and build workflows in plain language. The server is real. mcp.lodgify.com/mcp answers, and it asks for a Lodgify sign-in.

What’s missing is the front door. We found no help article or setup steps for it, and Lodgify’s sign-in server doesn’t let new apps register themselves, which is what Claude’s Add custom connector relies on by default. Without a client ID from Lodgify, the connector has nothing to sign in with. Expect that to change, and check Lodgify’s help center before you rule it out.

Lodgify’s own AI Co-Host, launched in beta in May 2026, works inside Lodgify on guest messages and check-ins. It isn’t a Claude connection.

How to connect Lodgify to Claude through Carly

  1. Copy your Lodgify API key. In Lodgify, open Settings from the left-hand menu and select Public API. Your key is shown there. Copy it.
  2. Connect Lodgify in Carly. In Carly, go to Integrations → Connect an API and connect Lodgify there.
  3. Add Carly to Claude. Click Get the Carly connector, then Connect, and sign in.
  4. Ask Claude about your rentals. It answers through the Carly connector with live Lodgify data.

What Claude can do with Lodgify once Carly is in

  • “Which bookings arrive this week, at which property, and through which channel?”
  • “Is Seaside Villa free from December 20 to 27? If so, give me the nightly rate.”
  • “Find Claire Thompson’s reservation and tell me what she paid and when she checks out.”
  • “Compare October occupancy across all my properties.”

With your Gmail or Outlook connected in Carly, Claude can read a guest’s email and look up their stay in the same answer.

Where Claude stops

Even once Lodgify MCP opens up, Claude only works when you ask. Its scheduled tasks run on a clock, and a new Lodgify booking can’t start one. The cleaner still needs tomorrow’s turnovers, the owner still wants their month, and the guest arriving at midnight still needs the door code.

Carly does those on its own, on a schedule you set or when an email comes in:

  • When a new booking email arrives, find the reservation in Lodgify, put the stay on your calendar, and send your welcome email.
  • Every evening at 6, email your cleaners tomorrow’s check-outs and check-ins.
  • Two days before arrival, send each guest check-in details from your mailbox.
  • On the 1st, total last month’s revenue per property and email each owner.

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the same workflow can update your bookkeeping, add a maintenance task, or post to your team’s Slack. You set it up in plain English. Routine steps run as free Zapier-style workflows; judgment calls run as an AI agent. Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started with Carly.

FAQ

Does Lodgify have an MCP server?

Yes. Lodgify advertises Lodgify MCP for ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants, and the server at mcp.lodgify.com is live behind a Lodgify sign-in. As of October 13, 2026 there’s no public setup guide, and Claude’s custom connector can’t register with it on its own.

How do I connect Lodgify to Claude today?

Copy your API key from Settings → Public API in Lodgify, connect it to Carly, and add the Carly connector to Claude.

Where is my Lodgify API key?

In Lodgify, open Settings from the left-hand menu and select Public API. The key is shown there.

Can Claude message guests automatically?

Not on its own, since a new booking can’t start Claude. Carly picks up the booking, sends the welcome and check-in emails from your mailbox, and emails your cleaners the schedule.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
