Claude + Shopmonkey: Connect Your Shop to Claude
Shopmonkey doesn’t offer a Claude connector, and it hasn’t published an MCP server. It does let any admin create an API key, under Settings. Connect that key to Carly, add the Carly connector to Claude, and your repair orders, customers, vehicles and appointments are in the chat.
Where Shopmonkey stands with Claude
As of October 16, 2026, there’s no Shopmonkey connector in Claude and no official Shopmonkey MCP server.
The Shopmonkey API is one of the deepest in auto repair. It covers customers and vehicles, orders (repair orders) and their services, appointments, inspections, parts and tire inventory, purchase orders, payments, customer messages, the time clock and your workflow statuses. A key carries the same permissions as the admin who creates it.

What Claude can do with Shopmonkey once Carly is in
- “Which repair orders are waiting on parts, and when did we order them?”
- “What did we do on Michael Bennett’s 2019 F-150 last visit?”
- “Book Claire Thompson’s Camry for front brakes Thursday at 9.”
- “How many cars did we close out last week, and what was the average ticket?”
With your Gmail or Outlook connected in Carly too, Claude can find a customer’s emailed question and their vehicle history in one step.
Where Claude stops
Claude answers when you ask. Its scheduled tasks run on a clock, and nothing in Shopmonkey can start one. Shopmonkey sends webhooks when things change, but claude.ai has nowhere to receive them. A car stuck waiting on parts for three days, a customer emailing for an appointment after hours, the owner’s Monday numbers: all of it waits for someone to open a chat.
Carly handles those, in the cloud, on a schedule you set or when an email comes in:
- Every morning at 7:30, email the service writer every order waiting on parts for more than two days.
- When a customer emails asking for an appointment, find an open slot and book it in Shopmonkey, then reply with the time.
- Every Monday, email the owner last week’s car count, total sales and average repair order.
- Six months after an oil change, email the customer that their next one is due.
Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the same workflow can update your accounting, post to your team’s Slack or add a review request. You set it up in plain English. Routine steps run as free Zapier-style workflows; work that needs judgment runs as an AI agent. Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started with Carly.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
