Several Google Calendars connected to a single Claude Cowork session

How to Connect Multiple Google Calendars to Claude Cowork

Claude Cowork cannot hold two Google accounts at once. Several calendars inside a single account are already covered and need no setup, so the whole question is which of those two problems you have. Connect each Google account to Carly and one Cowork session can read and book across all of them. Carly holds your Outlook calendars and every mailbox on both sides in the same place, so this setup covers the rest of what you own.

1. Add your Google calendars to Carly

  1. Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
  2. Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
  3. Find Google Calendar, click Connect, and authorize the calendar.
  4. Click Connect again for the next one, and keep going for as many calendars as you want.

On a managed Google Workspace account, an administrator may need to approve the connection first.

Unlimited connected emails and calendars are included on the $35/month plan, so a third and fourth calendar cost nothing extra.

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on that page you can add your inboxes, files, CRM, and anything else you want Claude Cowork to reach through the same connector.

2. Add Carly to Cowork

  1. Under Customize, then connectors, add a custom connector.
  2. Paste https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/.
  3. Authorize and sign in to the Carly workspace holding the calendars.

A Cowork session can then call Carly’s calendar tools inside the same run, alongside whatever else it is doing.

What one Cowork session can do afterwards

  • Check every connected calendar before proposing a time.
  • Compare a personal and a work Google account in one run.
  • Book on the account that owns the meeting.
  • Move or decline in the correct calendar.
  • Skip the sharing step and the permissions that come with it.
  • Keep the routing intact across a long multi-step task.

Nothing is merged. Each account stays separately authorized, and Carly keeps them individually addressable.

Several calendars, one account: already covered

Most Google Calendar setups are several calendars under a single login. Your main calendar, a side project, a family calendar, a subscribed team calendar, a birthdays feed. All of those belong to one Google identity, and Cowork reaches them through the standard Google Workspace connector.

One connector, one account. That is still the shape in Claude and Gemini. The Gmail or Google Workspace connection authorizes a single identity, so a second account overwrites the first instead of sitting beside it. Anyone running a personal address and a work address does the disconnect and reconnect dance to move between them. Connect all of them to Carly instead and the dance stops.

Rows one and two work today. Rows three and four are the reason for the rest of this guide.

CalendarGoogle accountNative path
Main work calendar[your-work-address]Yes, connected identity
Team calendar[your-work-address]Yes, same account
Personal calendar[your-personal-address]No, second identity
Client calendar[your-second-work-address]No, third identity

The last two rows are where Cowork’s shape shows. Cowork’s scheduled tasks genuinely run without you, but they fire on a fixed clock, so a meeting request that arrives Tuesday afternoon gets handled at the next scheduled run rather than when it lands. Carly fires on the event itself, in the cloud, and holds every calendar while it does.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude Cowork see more than one Google Calendar?

Yes, as long as they belong to the same Google account. Several calendars under one login are reachable through the standard Google Workspace connector.

Can Cowork connect two Google accounts?

No. The connector authorizes a single Google identity, and connecting a second replaces the first.

Does sharing a calendar between my accounts work?

For reading, mostly. For writing it gets unreliable, because event ownership stays with the originating account, and you have to maintain the sharing manually as calendars change.

Can Cowork write to Google Calendar?

Yes. The calendar side of the Google Workspace connector creates, updates, and deletes events, RSVPs, sets recurrence, and adds Meet links. It is the strongest part of that connector.

Does Cowork act when a meeting request arrives?

No. Scheduled tasks run on a clock, not on an event, so nothing starts because an invite landed.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
