Instantly.ai Review (2026): Pricing, Pros & Cons
Instantly is a cold email platform built for volume. You connect or buy a stack of sending inboxes, it warms them up, spreads your campaigns across them, and collects every reply in one place. In 2026 it also sells a lead database, a CRM with calling and SMS, and a growing roster of AI agents.
The short verdict: Instantly is one of the better-value ways to send a lot of cold email, and agencies running outbound for many clients get the most from it. The catch is how the bill is built: sending, credits, CRM and inboxes are separate subscriptions, replying from the shared inbox needs the $97 plan, credits expire, and the terms rule out refunds. If your bottleneck is the replies, the follow-up and the booking rather than how many emails go out, Carly runs that part from your team’s own Gmail and Outlook mailboxes.

What Instantly actually does
- Outreach (called Engage in the new interface). Multi-step campaigns with A/Z variant testing and rotation across every inbox you connect. Every plan lets you connect as many sending accounts as you want, warmed through Instantly’s private network, or buy ready-made inboxes from Instantly.
- SuperSearch. A lead database Instantly puts at 450M+ B2B contacts, with waterfall email enrichment. It runs on Instantly Credits, a separate subscription.
- Unibox. Every reply from every inbox in one view, with AI reply labels. On Growth it’s preview-only; replying from it starts at Hypergrowth.
- AI Reply Agent. Answers interested prospects, handles objections, shares your Calendly link and updates lead statuses, either with a person approving each reply or on autopilot. Each reply costs 5 credits.
- CRM. Pipeline and tasks, and on Hyper CRM, calling, SMS and multi-channel “salesflows,” with team seats included.
- Website Visitors. A pixel that matches site visitors to contacts and pushes them into a campaign or a Slack channel. Credits are charged only for resolved profiles.
- More AI agents. The AI Sales Agent finds, researches and emails leads on its own (5 credits a lead). Copilot builds campaigns and automations from a plain-English request.
What changed in 2026
- A price rise. Archived copies of the pricing page show Outreach Growth at $37 a month (billed monthly) in October 2025 and $47 by January 2026. By April the CRM tab had left the public pricing page; Hyper CRM is still billed at $97 a month inside the app.
- June 17: the AI Deliverability Agent, which watches DNS, blocklists and bounce rates and can pause campaigns or replace risky accounts.
- July 23: the Lead Finder Agent, which tops up a campaign with fresh leads when it runs low.
- September 22: Instantly Agents for partnerships, fundraising, recruiting and user research, plus a Voice Agent that calls new inbound leads using ElevenLabs voices.
- September 29: “the new Instantly,” a redesign rolling out gradually, with Instantly AI available anywhere in the app, mobile and tablet support, and reporting across workspaces. The new agents only run in the new interface.
Instantly pricing in 2026
From Instantly’s pricing page and pricing.md on October 4, 2026, in USD. Annual prices are per month, billed yearly.
Outreach (sending)
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Emails/month | Uploaded contacts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $47 | $37.60 | 5,000 | 1,000 |
| Hypergrowth | $97 | $77.60 | 100,000 to 125,000 (the page lists both) | 25,000 |
| Light Speed | $358 | $286.30 | 500,000 | 100,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 500,000+ | 100,000+ |
Hypergrowth is where Unibox replies, webhooks, custom reply labels and the Deliverability Agent switch on. Light Speed adds SISR, Instantly’s dedicated server and IP rotation. There are no overage fees: hit a limit and you move up a tier, or add 125,000 emails for $87 a month on Hypergrowth and above.
Instantly Credits (lead data and AI)
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Credits/month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | from $47 | $37.60 | 1,500 to 2,000 |
| Supersonic | from $97 | $87.30 | 5,000 to 7,500 |
| Hyper Credits | from $197 | $177.30 | 10,000 to 200,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 200,000+ |
Credits pay for lead lookups (about 0.5 a row, 1.5 for a work email), the AI Sales Agent (5 per lead) and the AI Reply Agent (5 per reply). Unused credits expire two months after purchase on monthly plans and a year after on annual ones. A 50,000-credit add-on is $425 a month.
Everything else
- Hyper CRM: $97 a month, billed as its own subscription.
- Inboxes and domains: AirMail $4 an inbox, done-for-you Google account $5 a month, pre-warmed Google account $10 a month, domain $15 a year.
- VIP: done-for-you setup and management with a dedicated GTM engineer, custom priced.
- Bundles: Instantly also sells Outreach-plus-credits bundles (Starter $94, Scale $194, Agency $555 a month billed monthly), though that tab was hidden on the live page when we checked.
What a real setup costs
- Josh, a solo founder testing cold email: Growth Outreach ($47) + Growth credits ($47) + three pre-warmed Google inboxes ($30) = $124 a month billed monthly, plus $15 a year per domain. He still answers replies from each Gmail account, because Unibox replies need Hypergrowth.
- Emily, running a five-person agency: Hypergrowth ($97) + Supersonic credits ($97) + Hyper CRM ($97) + 20 done-for-you Google inboxes ($100) = $391 a month. If her AI Reply Agent answers 400 replies a month, that’s 2,000 of her 5,000 to 7,500 credits gone before anyone searches for a lead.
Refunds and cancelling
Instantly’s terms say all fees are “non-refundable and non-cancellable,” with no pro-rata refund for a month or year already started. Each module renews on its own, so cancelling Outreach leaves a CRM or credits subscription running. Cancel each one, and finish the cancellation flow to the last screen.
What users praise
Instantly holds about 4.8 stars from roughly 4,000 reviews on G2, and 783 of its 1,170 Trustpilot reviews are five stars. The praise is consistent:
- Fast setup. Inboxes, warmup and a first campaign in an afternoon.
- The price doesn’t grow with your inbox count. An agency sending from 80 inboxes pays the same plan price as one sending from 5, which is why agencies choose it.
- Warmup and sending work. Even critical reviewers tend to concede that.
- One product. Lead search, sending, replies and pipeline in one place, plus Instantly Academy and active cold-email communities.
What users complain about
A quarter of Instantly’s Trustpilot reviews are one star, and the recent ones repeat the same few themes:
- Billing that stacks up. Several September 2026 reviewers describe cancelling one subscription while another kept renewing: a $97 Hyper CRM plan in one case, a $425 credits add-on in another. Instantly’s public replies confirm each module bills and cancels separately; it refunded some charges and declined others.
- Cancellations that didn’t stick. One customer says they tried to cancel twice and was still charged. Instantly’s reply says neither attempt reached the final confirmation step, and nothing is cancelled until it does.
- Support that’s hard to reach. Reviewers describe slow answers when something breaks. One customer, locked out of a paid account a day before their warmed inboxes were ready, was still waiting on support 12 hours later.
- Paywalled basics. Replying from Unibox needs Hypergrowth, the AI features draw on a separate credits plan, and those credits expire.
- Deliverability that doesn’t match the dashboard. A warmup score measures how an inbox performs inside the warmup network, not where real Gmail and Outlook recipients file your email. Since Google and Microsoft tightened their bulk-sender rules, cold emailers report warmed inboxes still landing in spam, with done-for-you accounts drawing the most complaints. Instantly’s answers are inbox placement tests (two free, then included on paid plans) and the new Deliverability Agent.
- A moving interface. Long-time users complain that features keep moving, and the September redesign is still rolling out.
Some one-star reviews come from people who received Instantly customers’ campaigns. They say little about the product, but plenty about the reputation risk of high-volume cold email.
Instantly vs Carly

Carly works where your team already works. Every rep’s Gmail and Outlook mailboxes, plus the team’s calls and texts, land in one shared inbox where conversations get assigned, with notes and reminders. Carly drafts the reply to each prospect and labels it interested, not interested or out of office, so reps work the hot ones first. The team reviews and sends, or lets the agent send.
Sequences go out from those same mailboxes. Follow-ups arrive as replies in the original thread, and a sequence stops by itself when the person replies or books. Per-mailbox daily caps, sending windows and unsubscribe headers are built in, and an Awaiting reply view shows who’s gone quiet. In Woodpecker’s data, 42% of replies come from follow-ups (sales follow-up statistics).
When a new lead arrives from a form, an email, a call or a text, routing rules assign an owner, and Carly emails, texts or calls them within minutes from your own address and business number, with their form answers in hand. That’s the speed-to-lead play most teams never manage by hand. Carly books the meeting on the right rep’s calendar across all of your Google and Microsoft calendars, and turns call notes from Gong, Fathom or Fireflies into the follow-up email and an updated deal.
Leads come from wherever you already get them. Carly connects to thousands of apps, including Apollo, Hunter and Lusha for enrichment, HubSpot and Salesforce, Slack, and Instantly itself.
Keep Instantly, add Carly
If Instantly’s volume is working, you don’t have to pick one. Keep Instantly for sending and let Carly take the replies: paste your Instantly API key into Carly, and a Carly workflow can check Instantly on a schedule for leads marked interested, then create the deal in your CRM, post it to Slack, draft the answer and get the meeting on the right rep’s calendar. Our guides to the Instantly MCP server and connecting Instantly to Claude cover the other ways to wire it up.
Carly for teams is set up with you on a short call. Book a call with the Carly team, and if you run a high-volume cold program across many domains, the team scopes that with you on the same call.

FAQ
Is Instantly worth it?
For agencies sending tens of thousands of cold emails a month across many domains, usually yes: the price doesn’t grow with your inbox count, and warmup and sending are well regarded. For a small team whose problem is answering, following up and booking, the stack of subscriptions buys the wrong thing. Carly handles that part from your own Gmail and Outlook.
How much does Instantly cost per month?
As of October 4, 2026, Outreach is $47 (Growth), $97 (Hypergrowth) or $358 (Light Speed) a month billed monthly, or $37.60, $77.60 and $286.30 a month billed annually. Instantly Credits for lead data and AI start at $47 a month, Hyper CRM is $97 a month, and inboxes cost $4 to $10 each. A realistic setup runs $124 to $391 a month.
Is Instantly legit?
Yes. Instantly is a real, bootstrapped software company founded in 2021, and it says more than 40,000 teams use it. The “scam” reviews on Trustpilot are mostly about billing (separate subscriptions that keep renewing, and no refunds) or come from people who received cold email sent through it.
Does Instantly have a free plan or free trial?
There’s no free plan for sending. Instantly offers a 14-day free trial with no card, capped at 250 uploaded contacts and 1,000 emails, plus 100 trial credits and two free inbox placement tests. Carly offers free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month.
What’s the best Instantly alternative?
It depends on the job. For cold email at volume, see our Instantly alternatives roundup. For teams whose bottleneck is replies, follow-up and booking, Carly runs sequences from your own mailboxes, drafts every reply in one shared inbox, calls and texts new leads, and keeps your CRM current.

See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
