Vagaro Pricing: $30 to $90, Capped at Seven Staff
Vagaro charges $30 a month for one bookable employee, and $10 for each additional one, up to a ceiling. At seven bookable employees the price stops climbing at $90 a month, and stays there no matter how many more you add.
There are no plan tiers. Everyone gets the same feature set, and the only variable is how many people on your team take bookings.

The seven-employee ceiling is the story
Everything below seven is straightforward: $30 plus $10 a head. What makes Vagaro cheap for a busy shop is that the seventh employee is the last one you pay for.
A salon with 7 stylists pays $90 a month. A salon with 25 stylists also pays $90 a month. At seven staff you are paying $12.86 per bookable employee. At twenty-five you are paying $3.60.
If you are running a large single-location salon, spa or barbershop, this ceiling is the most aggressive pricing in the category. If you are a solo practitioner, $30 is competitive but not remarkable, and you are on the least efficient rung of the ladder.
The one thing to check is what counts as bookable. The ladder prices employees who take appointments on the calendar. Front desk and support staff are a different question, and worth confirming for your setup before you commit.
What is included at every level
Because there are no tiers, the same list applies whether you pay $30 or $90:
- AI-powered business tools and marketing
- Payments, with a free credit card reader when you sign up for Vagaro Merchant Services
- Calendar and resource management
- Customer waitlist options
- Memberships, packages and gift certificates
- 1,000 free emails monthly
- Advanced reporting
- Customer loyalty programs
- Customer tracking and client data
- SOAP notes
- Business and employee booking widgets
- Daily Deals
- Inventory tracking and invoices
- A free listing on the Vagaro Marketplace
- Unlimited notifications and appointment reminders
- Online booking on Vagaro, Instagram, Facebook and Apple Maps
Two of those are worth pulling out. SOAP notes at $30 a month puts Vagaro in reach of massage therapists and small clinics that would otherwise be shopping in a much more expensive category. And unlimited appointment reminders removes the usual per-message anxiety, though the 1,000 free emails a month is a real number to watch if you run marketing campaigns.
Multi-location is a different conversation
The ladder above applies to one location. Multi-location businesses get an enterprise platform with data syncing across sites and team management, and it is contact-sales only. No published price.
Cancellation and trial
There is a free trial, and Vagaro states you can cancel anytime with no cancellation fees. Exclusions apply to the introductory rate, so read those before assuming the $23.99 carries past month six.
The part the ceiling does not cover
At $90 a month for an unlimited number of stylists, Vagaro’s scheduling economics are hard to argue with. The booking widget, the marketplace listing and the reminders do a lot of work for the money.
What the price does not cover is everything that arrives as a message rather than a booking. The client who DMs asking whether you do balayage and what it costs. The regular who emails to move Thursday and needs three alternatives. The supplier confirming a delivery. Those never touch the booking calendar, and they land on whoever is at the desk between clients.
Carly handles that layer. Zapier-style workflows are free, so rebooking nudges, no-show follow-ups and review requests cost nothing to run. Booking pages and connected calendars are unlimited, which sits comfortably alongside a system already priced for unlimited staff. Every Gmail and Outlook account connects as its own authorized connection, so replies go out from the address the client already writes to. The agent that reads the message, drafts the reply and books the appointment starts at $35 a month, and Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the calendar, the notes and the payments stay in Vagaro.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
