Claude + Entrata: What the Integration Can (and Can't) Do in 2026

No — there’s no ready-made way to connect Claude to Entrata. Anthropic doesn’t offer an Entrata connector (it’s not in the directory), Entrata hasn’t built one, and of the big multifamily platforms this is the hardest one to reach from Claude at all. Entrata does publish an API, but you can’t just get keys for it: access is partner-gated behind a signed agreement and approved IP addresses. There’s no paste-a-key path. And even if you clear that gate and pay a developer to wire it up, Claude only does anything while you’re in the chat asking — it can’t watch your communities and act on its own.

Here’s the plain-English version: what’s possible today, the gate that stops most people, where it stops, and what to use if you want Entrata work to actually happen without you.

The gate: a signed agreement and approved IP addresses

Entrata’s API is not self-serve. Getting Claude to real property data means clearing a partner process, not clicking “generate key.” Two things stand in the way:

  • A signed agreement. Entrata’s API agreement has to be signed between your company and Entrata before you’re issued any credentials. It’s a legal/partner step, not a sign-up form.
  • Approved IP addresses. Once you’re in, the connection only works from a fixed set of approved addresses — fine for a server that lives in one place, but a problem for a laptop that moves between networks.

Entrata expanded its partner program in 2024, so the platform is genuinely open to partners — it’s just open to approved partners. A “connect Claude to Entrata in five minutes” claim isn’t real here.

What Entrata ships — and what it doesn’t

The Entrata API covers property, resident, lease, maintenance, payment, and financial data, and it can notify partners when things happen (a new application, a maintenance request). That’s a strong foundation for automatic workflows — once you’re through the agreement.

What you won’t find is anything built for Claude, and there’s no Zapier shortcut for Entrata either, so the no-code middleware path that helps a tool like DoorLoop isn’t available here. Entrata’s own AI is its ELI+ suite — Leasing AI, Renewals AI, and the workflows it added after acquiring Colleen AI in 2024. ELI answers prospects across text, email, and voice inside Entrata. It’s a feature of Entrata, not a connection to your Claude account.

How you’d actually connect Claude to Entrata today

With no ready-made connector and no no-code shortcut, the only route is a custom build. Someone technical has to sign the API agreement, get your addresses approved, and then build and run a small connector that sits between Entrata and Claude (the industry term for this kind of bridge is an “MCP server” — a mini-program that lets Claude reach an outside tool). Anthropic doesn’t provide one and neither does Entrata.

Because the connection only works from approved, fixed addresses, that connector really needs to live on a server that stays put — not a laptop that moves around. All of which is another reason this is an engineering project, not a five-minute setup.

The limits that actually matter

Even past the gate, everything Claude does happens inside a conversation you start. That has three consequences:

  • It never notices anything. Entrata can announce a new application or a maintenance request, but there’s nothing on Claude’s side to catch that and act. Nothing happens unless you open a chat and ask. No “when a renewal offer expires, follow up automatically.”
  • Close the chat and it stops. Claude pulls a rent roll or looks up a resident when you ask. It doesn’t sit on your account watching leases and following up. The moment you’re done, it’s done.
  • “Scheduled” isn’t really automatic. The closest thing Claude has to running on its own is a scheduled task — but it fires on a fixed clock, not when an application posts or a renewal expires, and it would still need to run from an approved address. That’s not an always-on leasing assistant.

What about email — can’t Claude just send the follow-ups? Out of the box, no: Claude’s built-in email (both Gmail and Outlook) only drafts, it doesn’t send — you still hit send yourself, and it only works while you’re in the chat. You could pay a developer to build sending in too, but it’s one more thing to maintain and it still only fires while you’re driving the chat.

So Claude with a custom build is good for “summarize this week’s applications” and simply not built for “work every expiring renewal automatically.”

If you want Entrata work that runs on its own: Carly

The moment you want something to happen around Entrata without you in the chat — email a prospect the instant an application posts, alert a manager when a renewal is at risk, send a weekly leasing summary — you’ve walked past what Claude is for.

That’s where Carly fits. A custom Claude build dead-ends at Entrata’s gate — the signed agreement and approved addresses mean you build and get approved before Claude reads a single record, and even then it only answers inside a chat. Carly clears that: it connects to Entrata and then runs the actual work for you, from a fixed cloud address that fits Entrata’s approved-address rule, 24/7:

  • When an application posts, Carly drafts the prospect follow-up and sends it.
  • When a renewal is at risk, Carly alerts the community manager and drafts the outreach.
  • When a maintenance request comes in, Carly notifies the assigned tech and logs it.
  • Every week, leasing and renewal activity rolls up into one manager-ready summary.
  • Actually sends and updates — drafts and sends email across Gmail and Outlook with attachments, manages tasks, and syncs your CRM.
  • No-code setup. Describe the workflow in plain English; Carly interviews you and builds it with you.

AI agents start at $35/month, and steps in a workflow that don’t use AI run free and unlimited. Carly connects to 200+ tools across 40+ categories — see integrations. Carly natively integrates with Entrata.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Claude work with Entrata?

Not out of the box. Anthropic doesn’t offer an Entrata connector and Entrata hasn’t built one. You could pay a developer to build a custom connection against the Entrata API — but that requires a signed agreement and approved IP addresses first, and like everything Claude, it only works inside a conversation you start.

Why is Entrata harder to connect than other property tools?

Its API is partner-gated behind a signed agreement and approved IP addresses, with no self-serve key and no Zapier shortcut. There’s no five-minute route — reaching it from Claude is an approved engineering project.

Is ELI+ a Claude integration?

No. ELI+ is Entrata’s own in-product AI for leasing, renewals, and maintenance. It’s a feature of Entrata and doesn’t connect to your Claude account.

What if I want Entrata to act on its own — chase renewals, alert managers?

That’s beyond what Claude does; it responds inside a chat and doesn’t act on events. Carly runs on triggers and schedules 24/7 from a fixed cloud address, and can email prospects and residents, update records, and send summaries without you. AI agents start at $35/month.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
