Claude + NowCerts: Connect Your Agency's Book
NowCerts doesn’t have a Claude connector or an MCP server, but its Web API is open to agencies, not just software partners. Connect NowCerts to Carly with a NowCerts login, add the Carly connector to Claude, and your insureds, policies and renewals are in the same chat as your inbox.
Where NowCerts stands with Claude
As of October 13, 2026, there’s no NowCerts connector in Claude and mcp.nowcerts.com doesn’t exist. Insurance software is a hard category for this: plenty of agency management systems keep their API behind a partner program. NowCerts doesn’t.
The NowCerts Web API signs in as a NowCerts user, then works with that user’s access: insureds and prospects, policies and quotes, and searches across both. NowCerts keeps a Postman collection current (version 2.1.5 was published October 13, 2026) and adds endpoints often.
Give the connection its own NowCerts user rather than a producer’s everyday login. Its activity then shows up separately, and you can switch it off without locking anyone out.
How to connect NowCerts to Claude through Carly
- Set up a NowCerts user for the connection. Have an admin create a user for Carly with the access you want it to have.
- Connect NowCerts in Carly. In Carly, go to Integrations → Connect an API and connect NowCerts there with that user.
- Add Carly to Claude. Click Get the Carly connector, then Connect, and sign in.
- Ask Claude about your book. It answers through the Carly connector with live NowCerts data.
What Claude can do with NowCerts once Carly is in
- “Which policies renew in the next 45 days, and who’s the producer on each?”
- “Find Claire Thompson’s homeowners policy and tell me her carrier, premium and effective dates.”
- “List prospects added this week that nobody has quoted yet.”
- “A certificate request just came in for Bennett Landscaping. Pull their general liability policy details.”
With your Gmail or Outlook connected in Carly, Claude can read the request in your inbox and find the policy behind it in one answer.
What waits until someone opens a chat
Claude only works when you ask. Its scheduled tasks run on a clock, and nothing in NowCerts can start one. A renewal 45 days out, a new web lead, a certificate request sitting in the inbox: each waits for a person to notice.
Carly notices, on a schedule you set or when an email comes in:
