Cursor With Multiple Accounts (2026)

Cursor’s Gmail plugin exposes an Accounts list, so a second Google login is at least something you can attempt, and users report it does not stick. The Outlook plugin beside it holds a single Microsoft account. Put every account in Carly, register one MCP server, and a Cursor agent works across all of them.

What the plugins do today

Cursor shipped Google Workspace plugins on Aug 3, 2026, covering Drive, Gmail, and Calendar, and added Outlook, Outlook Calendar, and OneDrive on Aug 27. They run on Cursor’s own hosted MCP server. For a single account they are capable connectors: the Gmail plugin can search and read mail, draft and send messages, apply labels, and manage threads.

Cursor is further along than most coding agents on the automation side too. Automations run cloud agents in the background and fire on real events rather than only a clock, with GitHub, GitLab, Slack, webhooks, and Linear all documented, and an automation can call MCP tools when it runs.

The account count is the gap.

1. Connect every account to Carly

Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
Find Gmail or Outlook, click Connect, and authorize the account.
Click Connect again for the next one, choosing Use another account if the provider preselects the first login, and keep going for as many as you want.
Repeat for Calendar on each account that has one.

If a Workspace or tenant requires administrator review, ask that administrator to approve the connection, then finish authorization. Each organization approves independently, so one company declining does not block the others.

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on that page you can add your CRM, files, and anything else you want Cursor to reach through the same server.

2. Add Carly as an MCP server in Cursor

Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or .cursor/mcp.json inside a single repository if you would rather scope it.

Then open Cursor Settings, find the Carly server, and complete the OAuth flow in the browser. Cursor supports OAuth against remote MCP servers directly, so there is no API key to paste into the file and no OAuth application of your own to register. Sign in to the Carly workspace holding the connections, and confirm the server shows as connected with its tools listed. If the tools do not appear, reload the window.
