How to Connect Multiple Calendars to Claude
Work Google. Personal Google. A client’s Outlook. Claude’s own connectors hold one Google account and one work Microsoft account, and a personal Outlook.com calendar not at all.
Short answer: connect every Google and Outlook calendar to Carly, add the Carly connector to Claude once, and a single chat checks, books and moves events across all of them.
1. Connect your Google and Outlook calendars to Carly
- Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
- Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
- Find Google Calendar, click Connect, and sign in with your first Google account.
- Click Connect again for every other Google account, Workspace or personal Gmail.
- Find Outlook Calendar, click Connect, and sign in. Repeat for every Microsoft account, work or personal Outlook.com.
Mix providers freely. This is the step Claude’s own connectors cannot do: a second Google account sits beside the first, and Outlook sits beside both. The calendars under each login come along too, so team, family and shared calendars keep their own names.
If a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account stops at a consent screen, an administrator has to approve Carly once. Ask them, then finish the sign-in.
Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on the integrations page you can add your inboxes, files, CRM and anything else you want Claude to reach through the same connector.
2. Add Carly to Claude
- Click Get the Carly connector, then Connect, and sign in with the Carly account holding your calendars.
- In a chat, open + → Connectors and toggle Carly on.
Nothing needs to run on your machine. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner may need to add the connector for the organization first.
3. Ask once across every calendar
Type one request:
Find a free hour this week across all my calendars and put a hold on it.
Claude passes it to Carly. Carly reads every calendar you connected, Google and Outlook, work and personal, finds an hour that is clear on all of them, and books the hold. You did not switch accounts, reconnect anything, or tell it where to look.
That is the test that matters in a mixed setup. A slot is only free if every calendar agrees, and the calendar an assistant cannot see always looks empty. That is how a client call ends up on top of a school pickup.
The same chat can then:
- Brief you on today’s meetings from every calendar, in time order.
- Flag a work meeting that overlaps something on your personal calendar.
- Move or cancel an event on any connected Google or Outlook calendar.
- Check all your calendars before drafting a reply that offers times, from any connected inbox.
If every calendar you own sits under one provider, the narrower guides cover it: multiple Google Calendars in Claude and multiple Outlook calendars in Claude. This page is the mixed case.
What Claude’s own calendar connectors allow (October 2026)
Claude reaches calendars through two separate connectors, and each holds one account.
Google Calendar. The connector Google builds for Claude’s directory (listed since March 2026) is on every Claude plan, Free included. On the account you connect, it views events, including calendars shared to that account, creates, updates and deletes events, finds mutual availability, and responds to invites, asking your approval before each action by default. Anthropic’s help center says Claude can access Calendar data only “for the Google account you’ve connected,” and a second Google sign-in replaces the first rather than sitting beside it.
Microsoft 365. There is no standalone Outlook calendar connector. Outlook calendars arrive inside the Microsoft 365 connector with Outlook mail, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams. It is also on every plan, behind three gates:
- It needs a work or school account on a Microsoft Entra tenant. Personal Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live addresses cannot connect.
- A Microsoft Entra Global Administrator grants a one-time consent for the tenant before anyone connects.
- Permissions are read-only by default. Creating, updating or deleting events needs write tools that an administrator enables.
Plan tier changes none of this, and neither connector has gained multi-account support since August. Anthropic’s public feature request for several accounts on one connector has been open since February 2026 and has passed 250 comments. One of the newest, posted October 1, sums up the problem: “The Gmail and Calendar connectors hold one account, so Claude sees one inbox and one calendar.”
| Your calendars | Claude’s own connectors |
|---|---|
| One Google account with shared and team calendars | Works, writes included, with approval |
| Work Google plus personal Google | One at a time; the second sign-in replaces the first |
| Google plus a work Microsoft 365 calendar | One of each; Outlook read-only unless an admin enables writes |
| A personal Outlook.com calendar | Not supported |
| Your firm’s tenant plus a client’s tenant | One tenant at a time |
Claude’s own connectors versus Carly
| Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 connectors | Carly connector | |
|---|---|---|
| Google accounts at once | One | Every one you connect |
| Microsoft accounts at once | One, work or school only | Every one you connect, work or personal |
| Google and Outlook in one request | One of each | Any number of each |
| Create or move Outlook events | Only if an admin enables write tools | Yes |
| Starts when an invite arrives | No, scheduled tasks run on a clock | Yes |
| Booking page that checks your calendars | No | Yes |
The last two rows are where a mixed setup pays off. Claude acts when you ask, and its scheduled tasks run hourly, daily, weekly or on weekdays; nothing starts because an invite landed. Carly workflows start on calendar events, new email, schedules and forms. You describe what you want in plain English and Carly builds and runs it: “when a meeting lands on any of my calendars, add a prep task,” or “every morning, email me the day across all my calendars.” Both keep running with Claude closed.
Carly booking pages use the same availability, so a client picking a time sees only the hours that are open across your work and personal calendars. You can also CC Carly on an email thread or text Carly, and it schedules against the same calendars from there. Carly’s agents carry their own name, email address and memory, so a colleague can write to one directly and the scheduling starts on arrival.

When Claude’s own connector is enough
If every calendar you care about lives under one Google account, including shared team and family calendars, Claude’s Google Calendar connector covers it and can create events with your approval. The moment a second Google account, any Outlook calendar, or a client’s tenant enters the picture, the native path splits into separate connections or stops.
For two or more accounts, or Google and Outlook together, go with Carly. If your setup has an unusual piece, such as a delegated executive calendar in a locked-down tenant, book a call and the team will walk through it with you.
Quick fixes when a calendar does not appear
- Google reused the account you are signed into. Choose Use another account on Google’s sign-in screen instead of the suggested profile.
- A work account stalls at consent. A Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administrator approves once, then you finish connecting.
- Claude answers from its own Google Calendar connector. Open + → Connectors in the chat and switch the native calendar connectors off, so the request goes to Carly and covers every calendar.
- Claude does not see Carly at all. Toggle Carly on for the conversation from the same menu.
FAQ
Can Claude connect to multiple calendars?
Calendars under one Google account, yes, including shared and team calendars. A second Google account or a second Microsoft account, no: each connector holds one account. Connect them all to Carly and add Carly to Claude once.
Can Claude check Google Calendar and Outlook calendar at the same time?
With its own connectors, one Google account and one work Microsoft 365 account, and the Outlook side stays read-only unless an admin enables write tools. Through Carly, any number of each, and it books on either.
Can I connect a personal Outlook.com calendar to Claude?
Not through the Microsoft 365 connector, which requires a work or school account on a Microsoft Entra tenant and excludes Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live addresses. Connect it to Carly on the integrations page and Claude reaches it through the Carly connector.
Can Claude create events on my Outlook calendar?
Only where an administrator has enabled the Microsoft 365 connector’s write tools, since its permissions are read-only by default. Carly creates, moves and cancels events on every Outlook and Google calendar you connect.
Does my Claude plan change how many calendars I can connect?
No. The Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 connectors are on every plan from Free to Enterprise, and each holds one account on all of them. On Team and Enterprise an Owner enables connectors first.
Does Claude do anything when a new invite arrives?
No. Claude acts when you ask, and scheduled tasks run on a clock. Carly workflows can start on a new calendar event across all your calendars.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
