Work and personal accounts reaching one Claude conversation through a single connector

Claude With Multiple Accounts (2026)

Claude authorizes one Google identity and one Microsoft tenant, so two Gmails, two Outlooks, or work Google beside personal Google is not a shape it has. Connect each account to Carly, add the Carly connector to Claude once, and a single conversation reaches all of them.

What one Claude conversation can do afterwards

  • Search personal and work mail in the same question.
  • Compare threads sitting in two different companies’ accounts.
  • Produce a morning brief grouped by account.
  • Draft or send from the exact address you name.
  • File, label, or archive in the correct account.
  • Create and move events on any connected calendar.

Nothing is merged. Each account keeps its own credentials, and Carly keeps them individually addressable.

One Google, one Microsoft, and that is the ceiling

The built-in connectors hold one account per provider. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini each authorize a single Google identity, and connecting a second one replaces the first rather than adding to it. Switching inboxes means disconnecting and reauthorizing, which is why personal and work is still two sessions rather than one. Carly holds both at once.

Anthropic’s Google Workspace connector reaches Gmail, Calendar, and Drive for the Google account you connected. Changing that account changes which identity Claude can see rather than adding a second one. The Microsoft 365 connector behaves the same way on the other side: one tenant, the one you authenticated.

Your setupWhat Claude reaches natively
Personal Gmail + work Google WorkspaceOne of the two
Work Google + personal GoogleOne of the two
Two Microsoft 365 tenantsOne tenant
Work Microsoft 365 + personal GmailBoth, being different connectors
Two Claude loginsTwo separate Claudes that share nothing
Several calendars under one Google loginAll of them, including shared calendars

The mixed pair is the one combination the native connectors hold at the same time, because Google and Microsoft are different products. Two accounts on the same provider is where it stops, and a third account is out of reach either way.

What each native connector actually does

Gmail. Search, read, draft, send, reply, and forward, with your approval on each send.

Google Calendar. View events including shared calendars on that login, create, update, delete, find mutual availability, and respond to invitations.

Google Drive. Search, read, upload, and create folders. Images inside Docs are not read.

Microsoft 365. Mail, calendar, OneDrive, and SharePoint, with write tools that arrived in July 2026.

Claude's Microsoft 365 connector gained write tools in July 2026. It can draft and send mail, manage calendar events, and create or update files in OneDrive and SharePoint. They are off by default, reject anything with an attachment, and need you in the conversation. A scheduled task can read your mail. It will not send on your behalf while you are away. Carly does that part, attachments included.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner enables these connectors at the organization level before anyone can authenticate.

Two Claude logins are two Claudes

Keeping a personal Claude account beside a company one works, and each login carries its own chats, projects, memory, and connectors. Nothing crosses between them. That gives you two assistants to ask separately rather than one answer covering both inboxes.

1. Connect every account to Carly

  1. Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
  2. Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
  3. Find Gmail or Outlook, click Connect, and approve access.
  4. Click Connect again for the next account, choosing Use another account if the first login is preselected, and keep going for as many as you want.
  5. Repeat for Calendar on each account that has one.

A Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account may need administrator review. Ask that administrator to approve the connection, then finish authorization. Each organization approves independently, so one company declining does not block the others.

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on that page you can add your CRM, files, and anything else you want reachable in the same conversation.

2. Add Carly to Claude

  1. Open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Paste https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/.
  4. Continue to authorization.
  5. Sign in to the Carly account holding the connections.

On Team and Enterprise, the Owner adds that URL under Organization settings → Connectors first, and members then connect it themselves. On Free, custom connectors are limited to one, which Carly can be.

3. Ask for the account you want

Name the address and the work happens there.

Draft the reply from emily.parker@northwind.com to the newest Varonex thread. Do not send it yet.

Search every connected inbox for “renewal” in the last 30 days. Include the source address on every row.

Check every connected calendar for conflicts Thursday 1:00 to 4:00 PM Eastern, then book the review at 2:00 on the Northwind calendar only.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude connect two Gmail accounts?

No. The Google connector authorizes a single identity, and connecting another replaces it. Carly is the direct way to put several separately authorized Gmail accounts in one chat. Step-by-step: multiple Gmail accounts in Claude.

Can Claude use work Outlook and personal Gmail together?

Yes. Those are two different connectors, so both can be attached at once. Two Outlooks, or work Google beside personal Google, need Carly from the start. See multiple Outlook accounts in Claude.

Does a second Claude login give me both inboxes in one chat?

No. Each Claude login keeps its own connectors, projects, and memory. You are switching assistants rather than combining accounts.

Can Claude book a meeting across two calendars?

Not natively, because it holds one calendar-bearing identity per provider. Carly holds every connected calendar, so one instruction can clear both and book on the one you name. See multiple Google Calendars in Claude.

Will a company Claude workspace see my personal inbox?

It sees whatever a connector returns into that chat. Keep the personal identity on a personal Claude login talking to the same Carly workspace, rather than attaching it inside a company-managed workspace.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
