How to Connect Multiple Outlook Accounts to Grok
Grok’s Outlook connector is explicit that it reaches one mailbox: the signed-in user’s. Carly holds each Microsoft identity as its own connection and exposes them to Grok through a single custom connector, so one conversation can search or act across all of them.
Grok’s Outlook connector is capable but single-tenant
xAI’s connector documentation covers a real working surface. On mail, Grok can search with keyword and filter queries, read full messages including body, headers, and attachments, manage drafts with To, Cc, Bcc, and HTML bodies, send, reply-all, forward, and organize mail by moving messages between folders and creating folders. On calendar it can search events, view details, check availability across attendees, create and update events, and RSVP. The scopes behind that are Mail.ReadWrite, Mail.Send, and Calendars.ReadWrite.
Two constraints matter more than the feature list. The connector supports Microsoft work or school accounts only, so a personal Outlook.com address is not in scope. And the documentation states plainly that “Grok can only access the mailbox of the signed-in user” and that access is “scoped to your account.”
That is a clearer statement than most vendors give. It is not ambiguous about multi-account support; it simply does not offer it.
Email triggers do not solve account routing
Grok closed part of the event gap in July 2026. Scheduled automations are open to everyone and email triggers come with SuperGrok, matching on sender, recipient, or subject. The limit is that the inbox is the only thing it watches, so anything that happens in another app still has to be noticed by a person first.
An email trigger is often mistaken for evidence that an assistant juggles inboxes. It is not. xAI does not say which mailbox is watched when several mail connectors exist, so a trigger tells you nothing about how Grok chooses between accounts.
1. Give each Microsoft account a role

All three are work or school accounts, which is what Grok’s connector expects. Use the role when searching and the full address before any send or modification.
2. Connect every Outlook account to Carly

- Sign in to the first Microsoft identity and approve access.
- Confirm the connected address in Carly.
Repeat for each additional tenant, using a private window if Microsoft preselects the previous login. Verify the full address after every authorization before adding the next.

4. Test every address read-only first
One mailbox per prompt:
