Rosie AI: Answering Service Pricing, Limits and Alternatives
Rosie is an AI answering service built for local businesses: plumbers, salons, auto shops, law offices. It trains itself on your Google Business Profile and website, answers when you cannot, and texts you the details of every call.
It is one of the simplest tools in the category. The things to check before signing up are the minute limits and which plan unlocks booking.
The quick answer: Rosie answers your business calls 24/7 in English or Spanish, takes messages, filters spam, sends booking links and texts you a summary of every call. It costs $49 a month for 250 minutes, $149 for 1,000 minutes with calendar booking and transfers, or $299 for 2,000 minutes, with two months free on annual billing and a seven-day trial. Go over your minutes and Rosie moves you up to the next plan automatically. If you want calls, texts and email answered from one team inbox, booked on Google or Outlook calendars, with the setup done for you, Carly is the better fit.

What Rosie does
Rosie answers every call your business can’t, at any hour, and handles several at once so nobody hears a busy signal.
- Answers questions from what it learned from your website and Google profile, plus the FAQs you add
- Takes smart messages that ask different questions depending on why the person called
- Filters spam and sales calls
- Books appointments on your calendar, or texts a booking link on the cheapest plan
- Transfers calls, warm (Rosie briefs your team first) or live, and on Growth tries several numbers in turn until someone answers
- Notifies you by email and text, with a summary, transcript and recording of each call
You can run Rosie for every call or only after hours and overflow. There are iOS and Android apps, and a website chat widget is included free.
Rosie pricing (October 2026)
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Minutes | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | $49 | $41 a month ($490 a year) | 250 | Message taking (2 scenarios), booking links by text, spam filter, chat widget |
| Scale | $149 | $124 a month ($1,490 a year) | 1,000 | Calendar booking, warm and live transfers, texts to callers during the call |
| Growth | $299 | $249 a month ($2,990 a year) | 2,000 | Waterfall transfers, custom training documents, white-glove onboarding, priority support |
Website texting is a $50 a month add-on with 25 conversations, then $1 each.
What happens when you go over. Rosie sends warning emails as you approach your limit. If you exceed it, Rosie automatically moves you to the next plan at that plan’s price, and you stay there until you downgrade in the admin. There are no per-minute overage fees, but a busy month on Professional turns a $49 bill into $149.
Take Claire Thompson’s salon: 120 calls a month at two and a half minutes is 300 minutes. That is over Professional’s 250, so the account moves to Scale at $149. The salon also needs Scale to book appointments straight into its calendar, so in practice Scale is the real starting price for most booking businesses.
Rosie reviews
Rosie has no Trustpilot reviews yet. Its site quotes owners of an auto shop, a landscaping company and an elder law firm praising how quickly it was set up and how it fixed their missed calls. We could not find independent reviews detailed enough to report.
Where Rosie falls short
- Booking needs Scale. Professional sends links; direct calendar booking starts at $149.
- No Outlook calendar. The supported calendars are Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity and Appointlet.
- CRM is Zapier-only for now, so every field you want in your CRM is a Zap you build and maintain.
- Phone only. Rosie answers calls and website chat. Customer email and the follow-up after the call stay with you.

1. Carly
Carly answers the calls and does the work after them.
- Calls, texts and email in one team inbox, so a customer who calls, texts and emails is one conversation your whole team can see.
- Answers when nobody can, 24/7 or after hours, and books on the right calendar, Google or Outlook.
- Detects Spanish and answers in Spanish, with no “press 2.”
- Texts back missed calls and calls new web leads from your business number right away.
- Follows through: the follow-up goes out when the call ends, and the job, summary and transcript land in your CRM, whether that is HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Carly’s own CRM. No Zaps to maintain.
- Works from ChatGPT or Claude: add the Carly connector and ask it to call or text a customer from your team line (how it works).
The Carly team sets up your line with you, on your own Twilio line or a new number, and prices it on a short call. Everything else: free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month.
2. Goodcall
Goodcall bills by unique caller, not minutes: $79 a month for 100 callers, $129 for 500, $299 for 2,000. If your calls run long, that can beat Rosie’s minute limits.
3. Smith.ai
Smith.ai sells an AI receptionist, live receptionists or both, and is built around intake for law firms and professional services.
4. My AI Front Desk
My AI Front Desk adds texting, chat and its own CRM to the phone agent for $99 a month. For the wider field, see best AI receptionists and after-hours answering services.

See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
