Can Meta Muse Connect to Multiple Outlook Accounts?
No, not through Meta Muse’s own Outlook connector. It holds one Microsoft account, and there is no option to add a second, so your work mailbox and your personal Outlook.com can’t sit in Muse together.
But you can use Muse across every Outlook account you own. Put the accounts in Carly, add Carly to Muse once as a custom connector, and one chat reaches all of them.
Do this instead
- Connect each Outlook mailbox at carlyassistant.com/integrations. Personal, work, client, as many as you like, plus Gmail if you use it.
- On the same page, open Advanced → API Keys → Create a new key, name it “Muse”, click Select all above the scopes, then Generate key and copy it.
- In a Muse chat, send: Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token. Paste the key when Muse asks for it in its secure credential prompt, not into the chat.
- Ask across all of your mailboxes at once:
Check all my Outlook inboxes for anything from the landlord or the accountant and tell me what needs a reply this week.
That is the whole setup. Get started at carlyassistant.com.
What you get that Muse’s Outlook connector can’t do
- Every mailbox in one request. Your personal Outlook.com, your Microsoft 365 at work and a client account, in the same chat.
- Gmail beside Outlook. The same Carly connector covers your Google accounts and every calendar on both sides.
- Shared mailboxes are real mailboxes.
billing@connects as its own mailbox, and Carly replies from it. - Work starts when mail arrives. A Carly workflow can sort a new email into your Outlook categories, draft the reply and text you if it’s urgent, without you opening Muse.
- Everything else you use is connected too. Carly connects to thousands of apps.

Muse is good at errands, and since Muse for Small Business it reaches work apps like Slack, QuickBooks and Shopify. Mail is where it stays narrow. Carly is built for the mailboxes that pay you: it follows your rules the same way every time, across every account.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect 2 Outlook accounts to Muse?
Not with Muse’s own Outlook connector, which holds one Microsoft account. Carly holds both side by side, and Muse reaches them through one custom connector.
Does this work with a personal Outlook.com address?
Yes. Personal Outlook.com and Hotmail addresses connect to Carly the same way as Microsoft 365 work accounts, and Muse reaches all of them through the same connector.
What if my company’s Microsoft 365 blocks the connection?
Some companies require an admin to approve new apps. Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to approve Carly, or let the Carly team handle the admin request.
What about Gmail?
Muse’s Gmail connector also holds one account. Connect your Google accounts to Carly on the same page and they reach Muse through the same connector. See Can Meta Muse connect to multiple Gmail accounts?
Is a custom connector safe?
Meta does not review custom connectors. Carly signs in to each account through Microsoft’s own sign-in, never sees your password, and does not train on customer data. You can disconnect any account from Carly at any time.

See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
