Claude + MerusCase: Connect Your Cases to Claude
MerusCase doesn’t offer a Claude connector, and it hasn’t published an MCP server. It does let a firm grant an outside app access to its data, under 3rd Party Apps. Book a call and we’ll connect MerusCase to Carly with you, then add the Carly connector to Claude and your cases are in the chat.
Where MerusCase stands with Claude
As of October 16, 2026, there’s no MerusCase connector in Claude and no official MerusCase MCP server.
The MerusCase API reaches case files and their status, activities such as notes and calls logged on a case, calendar events, contacts and case ledgers. MerusCase calls its API “a very powerful, freely available tool,” and no app sees any of your data until your firm switches it on.
Apps connect to MerusCase in one of two ways. A person with a MerusCase login can script against it with their own credentials, which MerusCase meant for testing. Apps meant for daily use register with Merus, and the firm then grants access under 3rd Party Apps. That’s why this connection starts with a call.

What Claude can do with MerusCase once Carly is in
- “Which hearings do we have next week, and on which cases?”
- “Summarize the last five activities on the Bennett case.”
- “Log a note on the Thompson file: client called, QME appointment confirmed for the 22nd.”
- “What’s the ledger balance on the Parker case?”
With your Gmail or Outlook connected in Carly too, Claude can match a client’s email to their case and log it in one step.
Where Claude stops
Claude answers when you ask. Its scheduled tasks run on a clock, and nothing in MerusCase can start one. A hearing tomorrow morning, a client email that belongs on the file, a case no one has touched in a month: all of it waits for someone to open a chat.
Carly handles those, in the cloud, on a schedule you set or when an email comes in:
- Every morning at 7, email each attorney their hearings, depositions and deadlines for the day.
- When a client emails, log the message as an activity on their case and draft a reply for review.
- Every Friday, email the managing attorney the cases with no activity in 30 days.
- The day before a hearing, email the client a reminder with the time and location from the calendar.
Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the same workflow can update your billing, your document storage or your firm’s Teams channel. You set it up in plain English. Routine steps run as free Zapier-style workflows; work that needs judgment runs as an AI agent. Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started with Carly.

FAQ
Does Claude work with MerusCase?
Not directly. MerusCase has no Claude connector and no official MCP server. Connect MerusCase to Carly, add the Carly connector to Claude, and Claude can work with your case data.
Can I turn the access off later?
Yes. The firm manages every outside app under Tools & Settings → 3rd Party Apps, and can change or remove an app’s access there.
Who at the firm should grant access?
Someone who should be able to see every case the integration needs. MerusCase describes API access as administrator-level, so most firms have the managing attorney or office administrator do it.
Can Carly log client emails to the right case?
Yes. When a client emails, Carly finds their case in MerusCase and logs the message as an activity, with no chat open and your laptop closed.

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
