How to Connect Multiple Outlook Calendars to Meta Muse
Yes, Meta Muse can work across several Outlook calendars at once, just not through its own Outlook Calendar connector. That connector holds one Microsoft account. Add Carly to Muse as a custom connector and one Muse chat sees your work calendar, your personal Outlook.com calendar, and a client’s calendar together.
1. Add your Outlook calendars to Carly
- Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
- Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
- Under Accounts, type the email address and click Add Email.
- On that address, click Connect Outlook, tick Calendar, then click Connect with Microsoft and grant access. If the address is already connected, open Manage access and click Connect next to Calendar instead.
- Repeat for every Microsoft account you want Carly to reach.
Microsoft signs you in with whatever account your browser already holds, so connect each extra account from a private window. A company Microsoft 365 account may need its admin to approve Carly first.
Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on that page you can add your Outlook mailboxes, files, CRM, and anything else you want Muse to reach through the same connector.
2. Add Carly to Muse as a custom connector
Muse connects to Carly with a Carly API key. Create one first:
- Go to carlyassistant.com/integrations and scroll to the bottom.
- Click Advanced to expand it, then find API Keys → Create a new key.
- Give the key a name, like “Muse”.
- Under scopes, click Select all above the checkboxes. Otherwise the key only covers booking.
- Click Generate key and copy it.
Then hand it to Muse:
- Open a chat with Muse in the app, on the web, or in WhatsApp.
- Send this message:
Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token.
- When Muse asks for the key in its secure credential prompt, paste it there, not into the chat. Carly’s calendar, mail, and workflow tools are now available to Muse.
What changes once every calendar is connected
One Muse chat can:
- see your company calendar, your Outlook.com calendar, and a client’s calendar side by side;
- find an hour that is free on all of them;
- book on the right calendar, with the invite going out from the right address and a video link if you want one;
- move or cancel a meeting in the account that owns it;
- build a morning agenda grouped by calendar;
- spot a double booking between two companies before either one notices.
Ask across all of them in one line:
Check all my Outlook calendars for Thursday and find an hour that’s free on every one of them before 3pm.
What Muse’s own Outlook connectors cover
Muse ships Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, and Outlook Contacts as three separate connectors, and on one Microsoft account the calendar one does real work: it reads your schedule, sends invites once you give it write permission, and, per Meta’s help center, updates Muse when your schedule changes. Since September 17 the Mac app can also work in the Calendar app on that computer.
It stops at the second Microsoft account. A consultant’s own company, a client’s company, and a personal Outlook.com address are three separate Microsoft logins, so Muse’s connector holds one of them, and Meta has not documented how the Mac route handles several accounts.
| Need | Muse’s Outlook Calendar connector | Carly connector |
|---|---|---|
| Read and book on one Microsoft account | Yes | Yes |
| Keep several Outlook accounts connected at once | One account | Yes, all of them |
| Calendars from two different companies | One company at a time | Yes, together |
| Google calendars in the same request | Separate connector | Yes, same connector |
| Add another account later | No | Connect it in Carly, nothing changes in Muse |
Where Carly goes past the connector
Muse handles errands well, and since Muse for Small Business it reaches apps like Slack, QuickBooks and Shopify too. Carly is built for the calendars your work runs on.
It watches every connected calendar and mailbox on its own. When Claire at a client company emails asking to meet, a Carly workflow can find an hour that is free on every calendar you have, send the invite from the account she knows you by, and log it in your CRM before you open Muse. Booking pages and group scheduling come with it, across unlimited connected calendars, so nobody books you into a slot another company already holds.
Carly offers free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents start at $35/month.
Quick fixes when a calendar does not appear
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Microsoft connected the same account twice | Remove the duplicate in Carly and reconnect from a private browser window |
| A company account blocks authorization | Ask that company’s Microsoft 365 admin to approve Carly |
| Muse only checks one calendar | Tell Muse to use the Carly connector for your calendar, or disconnect Muse’s own Outlook Calendar connector |
| Muse only sees booking tools | Create a new key with Select all scopes and give it to Muse |
| You are not sure where a meeting landed | Ask Muse to say which account each meeting is on |
Frequently asked questions
Can Meta Muse connect two Outlook calendars at once?
Not through its own Outlook Calendar connector, which holds one Microsoft account. Connect each account to Carly and add Carly to Muse as a custom connector, and Muse sees all of them.
Can I mix a personal Outlook.com calendar with work calendars?
Yes. Each Microsoft account is connected to Carly separately, personal or work, and Muse reaches all of them through the same connector.
Can I share a client’s calendar into my own account instead?
Sometimes, for viewing. Sharing a calendar outside a company depends on that company’s Microsoft 365 settings, and Meta has not documented whether Muse’s connector reads calendars shared into the connected account. Through Carly, each account stays connected as itself.
What if my company’s Microsoft 365 blocks the connection?
Some companies require an admin to approve new apps. Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to approve Carly, or let the Carly team handle the admin request.
Is a custom connector safe to use?
Meta does not review custom connectors, so it is worth knowing what you are connecting. Carly signs in to each account through Microsoft’s own sign-in, never sees your password, and does not train on customer data. You can disconnect any account from Carly at any time.
Can I add Google calendars the same way?
Yes. Connect them to Carly on the same integrations page and they reach Muse through the same connector. See multiple Google Calendars in Meta Muse.

Set up Carly for me. Carly connects to thousands of apps, from Gmail, Outlook and my calendars to Slack, HubSpot and QuickBooks, and keeps working after this chat is closed: answering email, booking meetings, following up and running workflows the moment something happens.
1. Add the Carly MCP server (https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/) and sign me in. Use the one that matches you:
- Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user carly https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ (then I run /mcp, pick carly, and authenticate)
- Codex: codex mcp add carly --url https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ then codex mcp login carly
- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Cowork): Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector, paste the URL, and sign in. Carly is also in Claude's connector directory at claude.ai/directory/carly.
- ChatGPT: open Plugins, search for "Carly", add it, and sign in.
- Cursor: add {"mcpServers": {"carly": {"url": "https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/"}}} to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then sign in to carly from Customize.
- Muse: I will create a Carly API key at carlyassistant.com/integrations (Advanced > API Keys > Create a new key, with Select all scopes). Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token, and ask me for the key in your secure credential prompt.
- Grok: go to grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, paste the URL, and sign in.
- Grok Bot: open Plugins, add a custom remote MCP server named carly with the URL, then I approve it and sign in.
- Perplexity: Settings > Connectors > Custom connector > Remote, paste the URL, and sign in.
- Anything else: add a remote MCP server (streamable HTTP) named carly with the URL. It signs in with OAuth.
I sign in with my Carly account, or create one at carlyassistant.com.
2. Walk me through connecting my accounts at https://carlyassistant.com/integrations. Under Accounts, I type each email address I use and click Add Email. On each new address, I click Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook, tick what Carly can reach (Email, Calendar, Contacts, Drive or OneDrive), then click Connect with Google or Connect with Microsoft and grant access. For an address that is already connected, I open Manage access and click Connect next to anything missing. Repeat for every address. Then ask which of my other apps I want connected too.
3. Check it worked: list my connected mailboxes and calendars and tell me every account you can see.
4. Then ask me what to hand off first, for example: "Check all my inboxes for anything that needs a reply today."See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
