How to Connect Multiple OneDrive Accounts to Meta Muse
Meta Muse has no OneDrive connector, for one account or several. Add Carly to Muse as a custom connector and one Muse chat reaches every OneDrive you have, personal and work, with each file staying in the account it lives in.
1. Add your OneDrive accounts to Carly
- Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
- Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
- Under Accounts, type the email address and click Add Email.
- On that address, click Connect Outlook, tick OneDrive, then click Connect with Microsoft and grant access. If the address is already connected, open Manage access and click Connect next to OneDrive instead.
- Repeat for every Microsoft account you want Carly to reach.
Microsoft signs you in with whatever account your browser already holds, so connect each extra account from a private window. A company Microsoft 365 account may need its admin to approve Carly first. Nothing is merged, copied, or synced between drives.
Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on that page you can add your Outlook mailboxes, calendars, CRM, and anything else you want Muse to reach through the same connector.
2. Add Carly to Muse as a custom connector
Muse connects to Carly with a Carly API key. Create one first:
- Go to carlyassistant.com/integrations and scroll to the bottom.
- Click Advanced to expand it, then find API Keys → Create a new key.
- Give the key a name, like “Muse”.
- Under scopes, click Select all above the checkboxes. Otherwise the key only covers booking.
- Click Generate key and copy it.
Then hand it to Muse:
- Open a chat with Muse in the app, on the web, or in WhatsApp.
- Send this message:
Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token.
- When Muse asks for the key in its secure credential prompt, paste it there, not into the chat. Carly’s file, mail, calendar, and workflow tools are now available to Muse.
What changes once every OneDrive is connected
One Muse chat can:
- search your personal OneDrive and every work OneDrive in the same request;
- find the contract wherever it lives, across personal and business drives;
- save an email attachment into the right drive and folder;
- read an Excel workbook stored in OneDrive and add a row to it;
- share a file with a client, view-only or with editing;
- tell you which drive each file came from.
Ask across all of them in one line:
Search all my OneDrives for the signed Adobe renewal and last month’s expense report, and tell me which drive each one is in.
What Muse reaches without Carly
Muse’s Microsoft connectors are Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, and Outlook Contacts. For files, Muse for Small Business added Box and Dropbox on September 29, and Meta has not named a OneDrive connector.
Muse does have three fallbacks. It can build its own connection to an app’s public API with credentials you supply, which for OneDrive means getting developer credentials from Microsoft, and Meta’s help center says Meta does not review custom connectors. It can open OneDrive on the web in its own browser. And the Mac app works with files on that computer.
Each one has a catch. A homemade API connection is built and maintained one account at a time, the browser route breaks whenever the site changes, and the Mac route only reaches what sits on that one computer.
| Need | Muse on its own | Carly connector |
|---|---|---|
| Search your OneDrive | No OneDrive connector | Yes |
| Personal and work OneDrive in one request | No | Yes |
| Drives from two different companies | No | Yes, together |
| Excel workbooks stored in OneDrive | Not documented | Read them and add rows |
| Google Drive in the same request | Separate connector | Yes, same connector |
Where Carly goes past the connector
Muse handles errands well, and since Muse for Small Business it reaches apps like Slack, QuickBooks and Shopify too. Carly is built for the files your work runs on.
It watches every connected inbox on its own. When Emily at a client emails over a signed statement of work, a Carly workflow can save it to that client’s folder in the right OneDrive, share it back with her as view-only, and log it in your CRM before you open Muse. If you work for two companies, each drive gets the same treatment without you switching anything.
Carly offers free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents start at $35/month.
Quick fixes when a drive does not appear
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Microsoft connected the same account twice | Remove the duplicate in Carly and reconnect from a private browser window |
| A company account blocks authorization | Ask that company’s Microsoft 365 admin to approve Carly |
| Muse opens OneDrive in its browser instead | Tell Muse to use the Carly connector for files |
| Muse only sees booking tools | Create a new key with Select all scopes and give it to Muse |
| A file is missing from results | Check it sits in that account’s own OneDrive rather than a SharePoint site shared into it |
Frequently asked questions
Does Meta Muse have a OneDrive connector?
No. Its Microsoft connectors cover Outlook mail, calendar, and contacts, and Meta has not named a OneDrive connector. Carly brings every OneDrive into Muse through one custom connector.
Can I mix a personal OneDrive with work accounts?
Yes. Each Microsoft account is connected to Carly separately, personal or work, and Muse reaches all of them through the same connector.
What if my company’s Microsoft 365 blocks the connection?
Some companies require an admin to approve new apps. Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to approve Carly, or let the Carly team handle the admin request.
Is a custom connector safe to use?
Meta does not review custom connectors, so it is worth knowing what you are connecting. Carly signs in to each account through Microsoft’s own sign-in, never sees your password, and does not train on customer data. You can disconnect any account from Carly at any time.
Can I add Google Drive the same way?
Yes. Connect it on the same integrations page and it reaches Muse through the same connector, next to every OneDrive. See multiple Google Drive accounts in Meta Muse.

Set up Carly for me. Carly connects to thousands of apps, from Gmail, Outlook and my calendars to Slack, HubSpot and QuickBooks, and keeps working after this chat is closed: answering email, booking meetings, following up and running workflows the moment something happens.
1. Add the Carly MCP server (https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/) and sign me in. Use the one that matches you:
- Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user carly https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ (then I run /mcp, pick carly, and authenticate)
- Codex: codex mcp add carly --url https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ then codex mcp login carly
- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Cowork): Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector, paste the URL, and sign in. Carly is also in Claude's connector directory at claude.ai/directory/carly.
- ChatGPT: open Plugins, search for "Carly", add it, and sign in.
- Cursor: add {"mcpServers": {"carly": {"url": "https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/"}}} to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then sign in to carly from Customize.
- Muse: I will create a Carly API key at carlyassistant.com/integrations (Advanced > API Keys > Create a new key, with Select all scopes). Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token, and ask me for the key in your secure credential prompt.
- Grok: go to grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, paste the URL, and sign in.
- Grok Bot: open Plugins, add a custom remote MCP server named carly with the URL, then I approve it and sign in.
- Perplexity: Settings > Connectors > Custom connector > Remote, paste the URL, and sign in.
- Anything else: add a remote MCP server (streamable HTTP) named carly with the URL. It signs in with OAuth.
I sign in with my Carly account, or create one at carlyassistant.com.
2. Walk me through connecting my accounts at https://carlyassistant.com/integrations. Under Accounts, I type each email address I use and click Add Email. On each new address, I click Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook, tick what Carly can reach (Email, Calendar, Contacts, Drive or OneDrive), then click Connect with Google or Connect with Microsoft and grant access. For an address that is already connected, I open Manage access and click Connect next to anything missing. Repeat for every address. Then ask which of my other apps I want connected too.
3. Check it worked: list my connected mailboxes and calendars and tell me every account you can see.
4. Then ask me what to hand off first, for example: "Check all my inboxes for anything that needs a reply today."See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
