What pushes Kai users to look elsewhere
- $50 per user now, $100 at launch. Kai Pro is a single plan. The $50/user/month founding rate is locked while your subscription stays active, and Kai’s pricing page says the plan launches at $100. Team seats cost the same per head, so a five-person team pays five times.
- You approve everything. Kai’s own FAQ says it never sends an email, creates a task or blocks calendar time without your approval, and that “Kai never emails anyone on its own.” That is careful by design. It also means the last step of every job is still yours.
- The work stays in Kai. Action items from meetings and email land in Kai’s own task list, and Kai says it doesn’t sync with external task tools today. It connects Google and Microsoft mail and calendars plus meeting apps; iCloud and other calendar providers aren’t supported yet, and there is no CRM on its integrations page.
