Can Claude Connect to Multiple Outlook Calendars?
Partly. Claude reads Outlook calendars through its Microsoft 365 connector, which signs in one Microsoft work account. Calendars shared with that account come along. A second organization does not: signing in to it replaces the first, mail and files included. A personal @outlook.com calendar cannot connect at all.
With Carly, Claude reads all of them. Add the Carly connector in Claude and you can use every Outlook calendar you have at once, and your Google calendars beside them.
Do this instead
- Connect each Outlook calendar at carlyassistant.com/integrations. Every organization, your personal Outlook.com, and any Google calendars.
- In Claude, click Get the Carly connector, then Connect, and sign in with your Carly account.
- Ask across all of them at once:
Find me two free hours on Thursday across all my calendars, and move anything that clashes with the board meeting.

What the Microsoft 365 connector covers
Anthropic’s setup guide lists the calendar permissions: read your own events, and read calendars shared with you. So a team calendar or a colleague’s calendar shared into your account shows up. That is the one-account version of “multiple,” and it works.
Everything outside that account is out of reach:
- A second Microsoft organization. A consultant with their own company’s Microsoft 365 plus a client’s tenant gets one or the other.
- Personal calendars. The connector requires a Microsoft Entra tenant on a Microsoft Business plan, so @outlook.com and @hotmail.com calendars cannot connect.
- Changes, unless an admin allows them. Creating and moving events needs write tools, which start blocked for organizations that had the connector before write tools launched. When Claude does create or update an event, Microsoft 365 sends attendees an invitation or update automatically.
The failure is quiet. Ask “am I free Thursday at 2pm?” and Claude says yes from the one calendar it can see, while the client tenant has you on site all afternoon.
What you can automate across all of them
Carly does more than widen what Claude can see. It works the calendars when you are not there:
- Block travel time automatically. An in-person meeting lands on any calendar and Carly blocks the drive either side.
- Brief you before every meeting, with attendee research and last week’s notes, delivered to your inbox or Teams.
- Send a Sunday preview of every conflict between your calendars for the week ahead.
- Mirror busy time between organizations, so your company calendar shows when the client tenant has you booked.
- Give people a booking page that checks every calendar before offering a slot.
Those run on their own as events land, using Carly workflows. Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the meeting can also land in your CRM or project tracker.

Frequently asked questions
Can Claude see calendars shared with me in Outlook?
Yes. The Microsoft 365 connector includes permission to read calendars shared with your account. Calendars in a different Microsoft account of your own need Carly.
Can Claude connect to two Microsoft 365 calendars from different companies?
Not at the same time. The connector holds one Microsoft work account, so the second organization replaces the first. Connect both to Carly and Claude reaches both in one conversation.
Can Claude add events to my Outlook calendar?
If your organization has write tools switched on. They start blocked for organizations that had the connector before write tools launched, and an administrator has to enable them. Carly creates and moves events on every calendar you connect.
Can I connect a personal Outlook.com calendar to Claude?
Not through the Microsoft 365 connector, which only accepts work accounts. Through Carly, personal and work calendars sit side by side.
Does Claude Cowork change this?
No. Cowork uses the same connectors. See can Claude Cowork connect to multiple Outlook accounts.

See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
