Claude + Gingr: Connect Your Pet Care Business to Claude

Gingr doesn’t offer a Claude connector, and it hasn’t published an MCP server. It does give any user an API key, from their user record. Connect that key to Carly, add the Carly connector to Claude, and your reservations, pets, owners and vaccine records are in the chat.

Where Gingr stands with Claude

As of October 16, 2026, there’s no Gingr connector in Claude and no official Gingr MCP server.

Gingr’s API is built for reading your data. It covers reservations (by date, by pet and by owner), who’s checked in right now, the day’s check-ins, check-outs and overnights, owners and animals, immunization records, report card files, retail items, subscriptions and packages, and the time clock. Every endpoint is read-only, so Claude can look anything up but can’t change a reservation. That’s Gingr’s rule.

Each key belongs to a user. Many businesses create a separate user just for the API, so the key doesn’t leave with an employee.

How to connect Gingr to Claude through Carly

  1. Copy an API key. In Gingr, go to Reports & More → Users → Edit User → API Keys. The user needs the Can Access API permission, which you set under Reports & More → Groups.
  2. Connect Gingr in Carly. In Carly, go to Integrations → Connect an API and connect Gingr there.
  3. Add Carly to Claude. Click Get the Carly connector, then Connect, and sign in.
  4. Ask Claude about your facility. It answers through the Carly connector with live Gingr data.

What Claude can do with Gingr once Carly is in

  • “How many dogs are checked in tonight, and how many go home tomorrow?”
  • “Which pets booked for next week have a rabies vaccine that expires before their stay?”
  • “Show every upcoming reservation for Biscuit, the Thompsons’ beagle.”
  • “Who clocked in this morning, and when?”

With your Gmail or Outlook connected in Carly too, Claude can match an owner’s email to their pets and bookings in one step.

Where Claude stops

Claude answers when you ask. Its scheduled tasks run on a clock, and nothing in Gingr can start one. An expired vaccine on a dog arriving Friday, the morning crew’s check-in list, an owner asking if there’s room over the holiday: all of it waits for someone to open a chat.

Carly handles those, in the cloud, on a schedule you set or when an email comes in:

  • Every evening at 6, email the morning crew tomorrow’s check-ins and check-outs.
  • A week before each stay, email owners whose pet’s vaccines will be out of date, with a friendly note on what to bring.
  • When an owner emails asking about dates, check how full those nights are and draft a reply for you to send.
  • Every Monday, email the owner last week’s overnights and daycare visits.

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the same workflow can update your bookkeeping, your email list or your team’s group chat. You set it up in plain English. Routine steps run as free Zapier-style workflows; work that needs judgment runs as an AI agent. Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started with Carly.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
