Claude + Lodgix: MCP Connector Setup and Limits
Yes, Claude works with Lodgix through Lodgix’s own MCP server. Switch it on in Lodgix, add it to Claude as a custom connector, and Claude can look up reservations, find open dates, answer inquiries and create work orders. It works only when you ask, though, and no booking or guest message can start it. For the vacation rental work that has to happen on its own, add Carly.
What Lodgix offers Claude
The Lodgix MCP Server is built into Lodgix and signs Claude in with OAuth. You find it under Modules → Integrations → Lodgix MCP Server, with four switches:
- Enable MCP Server turns it on. Switching it off disconnects every AI tool at once.
- Filter Personally Identifiable Information is on by default. Guest emails, phone numbers and addresses are redacted from what Claude sees, and guest names are masked.
- Enable Write Tools is off by default. Turn it on to let Claude create bookings, work orders and replies.
- Enable Message Access is off by default. Turn it on to let Claude read guest conversations and inquiries.
Every call Claude makes is written to an Audit Log tab on the same page, with the tool, the request and the user.
How to connect Claude to Lodgix
- Switch on the server. In Lodgix, go to Modules → Integrations → Lodgix MCP Server, turn on Enable MCP Server and the other switches you want, and copy the Server URL.
- Add the connector. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Click +, then Add custom connector. Name it Lodgix, paste the server URL and click Add.
- Sign in. Click Connect next to Lodgix, sign in to your Lodgix account and approve access.
- Turn it on for the chat. Click + in the message box, then Connectors, and switch on Lodgix. Test with a read before you let it book anything.
On Team or Enterprise, an Owner adds the connector first under Organization settings, then Connectors. Members then click Connect in their own Connectors list.
What Claude can do with Lodgix
- “Which reservations check in this weekend, and at which properties?”
- “Find me a three-night window in March at any property that sleeps eight.”
- “Which inquiries are waiting on a reply from us?” (needs Message Access)
- “Create a work order for the broken dishwasher at Pine Ridge and assign it to Josh.” (needs Write Tools)
Bookings take two steps on purpose. Claude drafts the reservation and shows you the total and dates, and it books only after you confirm. Guest replies work the same way: Claude shows you the exact message first.
The limits that matter
- No Lodgix trigger. Claude works when you ask, and its scheduled tasks run on a clock. A new booking, an inquiry at midnight or a completed work order can’t start it.
- Guest words are not orders. An inquiry can contain instructions written by a stranger. Read every reply Claude proposes before you approve it.
- Masked by default. With the PII filter on, Claude can’t match a guest’s email to their booking. Turn the filter off only if you’re comfortable sending guest details to your AI tools.

FAQ
Does Claude work with Lodgix?
Yes. Lodgix runs its own MCP server, and you add it to Claude as a custom connector. Switch it on first under Modules → Integrations → Lodgix MCP Server in Lodgix.
Where do I find the Lodgix MCP server URL?
On the Lodgix MCP Server settings page in Lodgix, under Modules → Integrations. It’s shown there ready to copy.
Why can’t Claude see my guests’ emails?
The PII filter is on by default, so Lodgix redacts emails, phone numbers and addresses and masks guest names. Payment card numbers and other credentials are always stripped, whatever the setting.
Can Lodgix send my cleaners their list every evening?
Not through Claude alone, which waits to be asked. Carly pulls the next day’s turnovers from Lodgix every evening and emails them, with no chat open and your laptop closed.

See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
