Personal and work Google Drives reaching Meta Muse through one Carly connector

How to Connect Multiple Google Drive Accounts to Meta Muse

Yes, Meta Muse can work across several Google Drives at once, just not through its own Google Drive connector. That connector holds one Google account. Add Carly to Muse as a custom connector and one Muse chat finds the contract wherever it lives: your personal Drive, your business Drive, or a client’s.

1. Add your Google Drive accounts to Carly

  1. Sign in at carlyassistant.com.
  2. Open carlyassistant.com/integrations.
  3. Under Accounts, type the email address and click Add Email.
  4. On that address, click Connect Gmail, tick Drive, then click Connect with Google and grant access. If the address is already connected, open Manage access and click Connect next to Drive instead.
  5. Repeat for every Google account you want Carly to reach.

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so while you are on that page you can add your inboxes, calendars, CRM, and anything else you want Muse to reach through the same connector.

2. Add Carly to Muse as a custom connector

Muse connects to Carly with a Carly API key. Create one first:

  1. Go to carlyassistant.com/integrations and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Click Advanced to expand it, then find API Keys → Create a new key.
  3. Give the key a name, like “Muse”.
  4. Under scopes, click Select all above the checkboxes. Otherwise the key only covers booking.
  5. Click Generate key and copy it.

Then hand it to Muse:

  1. Open a chat with Muse in the app, on the web, or in WhatsApp.
  2. Send this message:

Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token.

  1. When Muse asks for the key in its secure credential prompt, paste it there, not into the chat. Carly’s file, mail, calendar, and workflow tools are now available to Muse.

What changes once every Drive is connected

One Muse chat can:

  • search your personal Drive and your business Drive in the same request;
  • find the signed contract, the invoice, and the client brief wherever each one was saved;
  • read and update a Google Doc in the account it belongs to;
  • save an email attachment into the right Drive and folder;
  • set up the same folder in every Drive at once.

Ask across all of them in one line:

Search all my Google Drives for the signed Shopify agreement and the latest Q3 budget.

What Muse’s own Drive connector covers

Muse lists Google Drive in its connector directory next to separate Docs, Sheets, and Slides connectors, and on one Google account it finds and works with your files there. Meta’s help center says data from Google Workspace is handled under Google’s Limited Use rules. On a Mac, the Muse app also works with files on that computer, which covers whatever you have synced to it.

It stops at the second Google account. A personal Drive and a company Workspace Drive are two Google logins, so Muse’s connector holds one of them.

Where Carly goes past the connector

Muse handles errands well, and since Muse for Small Business it reaches apps like Slack, QuickBooks and Shopify too. Carly is built for the files your work runs on.

It watches every connected inbox on its own. When Michael emails the signed contract to your business address, a Carly workflow can save it to that client’s folder in the right Drive, log it in your CRM, and send the thank-you before you open Muse. Receipts land in the bookkeeping folder, briefs land in the client folder, each one in the account it belongs to.

Carly offers free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents start at $35/month.

Frequently asked questions

Can Meta Muse connect two Google Drive accounts at once?

Not through its own Google Drive connector, which holds one Google account. Connect each account to Carly and add Carly to Muse as a custom connector, and Muse searches all of them.

Can I share a folder from my work Drive into my personal one instead?

That covers the folders you share, one at a time, if your Workspace allows sharing outside the company. The rest of the work Drive stays out of reach, and you keep the sharing up by hand.

Does this work with Google Workspace accounts?

Yes. Personal Drives and Workspace Drives both sit on Google accounts, and each is connected to Carly separately. A company Workspace may need its admin to approve Carly first.

Is a custom connector safe to use?

Meta does not review custom connectors, so it is worth knowing what you are connecting. Carly signs in to each account through Google’s own sign-in, never sees your password, and does not train on customer data. You can disconnect any account from Carly at any time.

Can I add OneDrive the same way?

Yes. Connect it on the same integrations page and it reaches Muse through the same connector, next to every Google Drive. See multiple OneDrive accounts in Meta Muse.

Set up Carly for me. Carly connects to thousands of apps, from Gmail, Outlook and my calendars to Slack, HubSpot and QuickBooks, and keeps working after this chat is closed: answering email, booking meetings, following up and running workflows the moment something happens.

1. Add the Carly MCP server (https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/) and sign me in. Use the one that matches you:
   - Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user carly https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ (then I run /mcp, pick carly, and authenticate)
   - Codex: codex mcp add carly --url https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ then codex mcp login carly
   - Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Cowork): Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector, paste the URL, and sign in. Carly is also in Claude's connector directory at claude.ai/directory/carly.
   - ChatGPT: open Plugins, search for "Carly", add it, and sign in.
   - Cursor: add {"mcpServers": {"carly": {"url": "https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/"}}} to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then sign in to carly from Customize.
   - Muse: I will create a Carly API key at carlyassistant.com/integrations (Advanced > API Keys > Create a new key, with Select all scopes). Build a custom connector to https://carlyassistant.com/mcp/ using an API key as a bearer token, and ask me for the key in your secure credential prompt.
   - Grok: go to grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, paste the URL, and sign in.
   - Grok Bot: open Plugins, add a custom remote MCP server named carly with the URL, then I approve it and sign in.
   - Perplexity: Settings > Connectors > Custom connector > Remote, paste the URL, and sign in.
   - Anything else: add a remote MCP server (streamable HTTP) named carly with the URL. It signs in with OAuth.
   I sign in with my Carly account, or create one at carlyassistant.com.

2. Walk me through connecting my accounts at https://carlyassistant.com/integrations. Under Accounts, I type each email address I use and click Add Email. On each new address, I click Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook, tick what Carly can reach (Email, Calendar, Contacts, Drive or OneDrive), then click Connect with Google or Connect with Microsoft and grant access. For an address that is already connected, I open Manage access and click Connect next to anything missing. Repeat for every address. Then ask which of my other apps I want connected too.

3. Check it worked: list my connected mailboxes and calendars and tell me every account you can see.

4. Then ask me what to hand off first, for example: "Check all my inboxes for anything that needs a reply today."

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
