Claude + PriceLabs: MCP Connector Setup and Limits

Yes, Claude works with PriceLabs through PriceLabs’ own MCP server. Add it as a custom connector, sign in to PriceLabs, and Claude can compare your listings with the market, spot listings that aren’t booking and change prices. It works only when you ask, though. For the pricing reports and owner updates that should arrive on their own, add Carly.

What PriceLabs offers Claude

PriceLabs calls it the AI Connector (MCP). It’s a hosted server at https://mcp.pricelabs.co/mcp that works with Claude and Grok, and PriceLabs publishes a cookbook of prompts for it. When you authorize it, you choose three permissions separately:

  • Read access to listings, prices, market data and performance
  • Write access to change prices
  • Customization write access to change pricing rules such as seasonality, last-minute and day-of-week adjustments. Write access alone doesn’t include it.

To change those permissions later, disconnect in PriceLabs first, then connect again. Disconnecting in Claude alone doesn’t update them.

How to connect Claude to PriceLabs

  1. Get your credentials. In PriceLabs, open Account Settings and select the AI Connector (MCP) tab. Copy the MCP URL and Client ID.
  2. Add the connector. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Click +, then Add custom connector. Name it PriceLabs, paste the MCP URL, open Advanced settings, paste the Client ID and click Add.
  3. Authorize. Click Connect on the new card, sign in to PriceLabs and choose your permissions.
  4. Start a new chat. PriceLabs tools appear only in new conversations.

Team members need MCP access granted from the PriceLabs account admin dashboard before they can connect.

What Claude can do with PriceLabs

  • “How do my Austin listings compare with the market for the next 60 days?”
  • “Which listings have had their prices stop updating?”
  • “Am I charging enough of a weekend premium at the Lakehouse?”
  • “Raise weekend minimums 10% across my Miami units.” (needs write access)

The limits that matter

  • No PriceLabs trigger. Claude works when you ask, and its scheduled tasks run on a clock. A listing that stops syncing, a gap opening up next week or a sudden market shift can’t start it.
  • Write access changes real prices. Ask Claude to show you the change before it makes it, and start with read access only.
  • Pricing is half the picture. The owner email, the cleaner’s schedule and the guest questions live in other apps.

Pricing work that runs on its own: Carly

Carly takes what PriceLabs knows and acts on it across the rest of your business, in the cloud, on a schedule you set or when an email comes in.

Connecting PriceLabs takes two steps: in PriceLabs, open Account Settings → API Details and enable the Customer API to get your key. Then in Carly, go to Integrations → Connect an API and connect PriceLabs there. PriceLabs charges $1 per listing a month for listings that sync prices through the API.

Then ask for things like:

  • “Every Monday at 8, list any listing whose prices stopped syncing and email it to me.”
  • “On the 1st, send each owner a one-page summary of their property’s rates and occupancy for last month.”
  • “When an owner emails asking why their rate dropped, pull the listing’s PriceLabs data and draft the answer.”
  • “Every Friday, list open nights in the next two weeks across every property.”

Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the same workflow can check bookings in your PMS, update your owner spreadsheet, or post to your team’s Slack. Routine steps run as free Zapier-style workflows; work that needs judgment runs as an AI agent. Free Zapier-style workflows; AI agents from $35/month. Get started with Carly.

FAQ

Does Claude work with PriceLabs?

Yes. PriceLabs runs an official MCP server, the AI Connector, which you add to Claude as a custom connector with the MCP URL and Client ID from Account Settings → AI Connector (MCP).

Why don’t PriceLabs tools show up in Claude?

They appear only in new conversations. Open a new chat after connecting.

Can Claude change my PriceLabs rules?

Only with customization write access, which you grant separately from write access. To add it later, disconnect in PriceLabs and connect again.

Can PriceLabs send my owners a monthly report automatically?

Not through Claude alone, which waits to be asked. Carly pulls each property’s PriceLabs data on the 1st and emails every owner a summary, with your laptop closed.

See what people say

"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.

Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.

On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
