Best AI Assistants for Work and Personal Accounts
The buyer for this category is one person. Work lives in a company Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 tenant. Personal life lives in a Gmail or Outlook.com login the employer does not own. Both have mail. Both have a calendar. Both generate work the person is expected to handle.
Most AI assistants are licensed, authenticated, and scoped to one of those worlds. Copilot sees the tenant that pays for it. Gemini sees the Google account you are signed into. ChatGPT and Claude each authorize one Google identity and one Microsoft identity, then replace them if you connect another.
The other failure mode is worse than a gap: forwarding personal mail into the work inbox, or sharing the personal calendar into the work tenant with full details. An admin who can see the work account can then see the personal one.
We checked 10 assistants against a work-plus-personal setup in August 2026. The ranking is about whether both identities stay connected, stay separate, and stay usable in one place.
The three questions that decide it
Can it hold the work login and the personal login at the same time? Not “does it support Gmail and Outlook” in the marketing sense. Two authorized identities, in one session.
Does a reply or an event land on the correct identity? A unified view that sends from the wrong address is a liability.
What does the employer see? If the only way to make work calendar accurate is to share personal event titles into the company tenant, the tool has not solved the problem.
Assistants that hold both identities
1. Carly AI

Limitations: Each account is authorized separately. A work admin may need to approve the connection on the company side, which is worth starting early. Keep personal OAuth on the personal identity; do not authorize the personal Gmail through a work-managed browser profile if that profile injects company monitoring. 2. Superhuman
Superhuman holds multiple Gmail and Outlook addresses under one Seat, as long as one person is using all of them. Work Microsoft 365 and personal Gmail can sit in the same client. Replies come from the account you are working in.
Best for: One person who wants a fast client over work and personal mail

3. Spark Mail
Spark lists unlimited email accounts and unlimited calendar connections on every tier, including free. Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP all fit, so the leftover personal address that is neither Gmail nor Microsoft still works.
Best for: Work plus personal plus one odd account, on a small budget

Reclaim does not read either inbox. It does the calendar half of work-and-personal well: connect Google and Outlook, sync personal events onto the work calendar as busy, defend focus time. Best for: Stopping coworkers from booking over personal time

6. Fyxer
Fyxer drafts in your voice and organizes an inbox. Starter is one inbox and one calendar. Work plus personal requires Professional: $50 per user/month, or $37.50 billed annually, up from $30 / $22.50.
Best for: People who will pay for Professional anyway and want drafts plus a notetaker

7. SaneBox
SaneBox meters accounts. Snack is 1, Lunch is 2, Dinner is 4. Work plus personal fits Lunch at $15.99/month, which is reasonable. Dinner at $42.99/month for four accounts is the most expensive filter on this list.
Best for: Exactly two accounts, filtering only

Assistants that can only see one side
8. Microsoft Copilot
Copilot is strong inside the Microsoft 365 tenant that licenses it. A personal Outlook.com address, a second company’s tenant, and any Gmail account are invisible. For anyone whose personal life is not on that tenant — which is almost everyone — Copilot is the work half of the problem.
Pricing: $30 per user/month on top of Microsoft 365
Limitations: One tenant. Do not fix this by forwarding personal mail into the work mailbox.
9. Gemini
Gemini follows the Google account you are signed into. Work Workspace Gemini cannot see personal Gmail. Personal Gemini cannot see work Workspace. Switching the avatar switches the assistant.
Pricing: Included with Workspace Business tiers and consumer Google AI plans
Limitations: One account at a time. Chrome profiles are the honest version of the same limit.
10. ChatGPT and Claude
Grouped because the shape is the same. Each one authorizes a single Google identity and a single Microsoft identity. OpenAI’s Google app FAQ says ChatGPT can access content from “the Google account you choose to connect.” Anthropic says Claude can access Gmail, Calendar, and Drive “for the Google account you’ve connected.” A second login replaces the first.
Connector authorization is per identity, not per person. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini each hold one Google account at a time, so the second inbox is reachable only by replacing the first. Both OpenAI and Anthropic have open feature requests asking for several named accounts on one connector, which is a fair signal that it is not possible today.
Claude’s native Gmail connector drafts and does not send. Its Microsoft 365 connector can send, with no attachments, in a live conversation. ChatGPT can send from Gmail or Outlook after you approve.
Account switching on ChatGPT keeps two ChatGPT logins signed in. Their mail, files, memory, and connected apps stay separate. That is two assistants, not one assistant with two accounts.

What not to do
Do not forward personal mail into the work inbox. Replies will come from the work address unless you rebuild Send mail as, and the work tenant now holds the personal mail.
Do not share the personal calendar into the work tenant with full details. “See only free/busy” is safer and still not under your control the way a sanitized copy is. A one-way Calendar Sync that rewrites titles to “Busy” keeps the work calendar accurate without handing the employer the real events.
Do not authorize the personal Gmail inside a company-managed browser profile if that profile can see the OAuth grant. Use a personal profile or a personal device for the personal connection.
Do not merge the accounts. Google will not, and the tools that pretend to are forwarding under another name.

How to pick
If work is Microsoft and personal is Google, or the reverse, the shortlist is Carly, Superhuman, Spark, or Canary. Everything in the last section fails this test.
If you want the assistant to do the work, Carly. Connect both identities, name them, test read-only, then allow sends. Put a busy-block sync on the calendars so the work calendar is accurate without leaking personal titles.
If you want a faster inbox and you will keep doing the work, Superhuman. Spark or Canary if price is the constraint.
If the only pain is double-booking, Reclaim or Calendar Sync. You do not need an email assistant for that.
If IT will only allow Copilot, use it on the work side and keep personal life on a separate tool. Do not try to fold personal mail into the tenant to make Copilot “complete.”
