Can Grok Bot Connect to Multiple Email Accounts?
One of each, at most. Grok Bot’s Gmail plugin connects one mailbox at a time, its Outlook plugin works in one signed-in Microsoft account, and a Bot can now claim one address of its own at mail.grokbot.com. Every Bot you run shares all three.
Carly gives Grok Bot every inbox you own. Add the Carly connector once and each Bot can search, sort, answer and follow up across all of your Gmail and Outlook accounts at once.
What Grok Bot can do with Carly plugged in
Grok Bot stays your chat. Carly is the part that reaches everything:
- Every mailbox at once. Gmail, Outlook, client domains and shared addresses like
billing@, in one request. - Sorting that never drifts. Carly labels mail by the rules you wrote, not by the Bot’s guess about what matters.
- Replies that actually go out. The emails you allow send on their own, from the right address.
- Work that starts without a chat. A new email, a booking or a form kicks off a Carly workflow, and none of it counts against your Grok Bot usage.
- A text when it matters. Carly messages your phone about the email that can’t wait.
- The rest of your stack. Carly connects to thousands of apps, so a Bot can file the attachment, update the CRM or open the task in the same step.
Do this instead
- Connect every inbox at carlyassistant.com/integrations: Gmail and Outlook, personal and work, your own domains and your clients’.
- In a chat with your Bot, send this message: Confirm the details it reads back, then click Authorize and sign in to Carly.
- Ask across all of them at once:
Check all my inboxes for anything from the general contractor this week and tell me what still needs a reply.
That is the whole setup. Get started at carlyassistant.com.
What Grok Bot holds on its own
Cursor runs Grok Bot’s plugins, and its help answers the Gmail question directly: “Gmail connects one mailbox at a time,” and “you cannot keep a personal mailbox and a work mailbox connected to Gmail at the same time.” The Add Another Account button that lets some plugins take a second login is shown for things like Notion. Outlook’s plugin works in the Microsoft account you sign in with.
| Grok Bot on its own | Grok Bot + Carly | |
|---|---|---|
| Gmail accounts at once | One mailbox | All of them |
| Outlook accounts at once | The signed-in Microsoft account | All of them |
| Gmail and Outlook together | One of each | All of them |
| The Bot’s own address | One per person, can’t be renamed | Every Carly agent has its own |
| Sends without you pressing Send | Never | Your call, rule by rule |
| Work starts on new mail in your Gmail or Outlook | Not a documented trigger | Yes, in every inbox |
The sharing catches people out. “An installed plugin is available to every bot on that Grok Bot account,” so a Bot you set up for one client can read the mailbox you connected for another.
The grokbot.com address is a new inbox, not a second one
Claim a name and your Bots can receive, read, search and send from it. That is handy for receipts and sign-ups. It doesn’t bring in the mail you already have, though. It starts empty, you get one, and you can’t rename or delete it. There is no inbox view and no notifications, so you ask the Bot what arrived. A routine can start when mail lands there, filtered by sender or domain but not by subject, and every reply it writes waits as a draft until you press Send.
A Carly agent has an address of its own too. CC it on a thread and it logs what was promised, sends the follow-ups on your schedule, and stops when someone answers.
What you can automate across all of them
These run in every Gmail and Outlook account you connect, with no Bot open:
- Text me when an urgent email arrives. A real person waiting on you, a deadline or money sends a text to your phone. Routine mail stays quiet.
- Label and sort every email. Carly applies your Gmail labels and Outlook categories by the rules you write, the same way every time. Anything it is unsure about is left alone, and nothing is deleted.
- Draft replies to the emails that need you. Carly reads the full thread and saves a reply in your voice to Drafts.
- Chase a quiet thread and stop when they reply. Follow-ups go out on your schedule and stop at the first answer.
- File attachments where they belong. A signed contract lands in the right Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox folder.
Carly connects to thousands of apps, so the far end of any automation can be a tool you already pay for. Browse more at carlyassistant.com/workflows.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect two Gmail accounts to Grok Bot?
No. Cursor’s Grok Bot help says Gmail connects one mailbox at a time, so a second account means disconnecting the first. Connect both to Carly and add the Carly connector once, and every Bot reaches them together. More in Can Grok Bot connect to multiple Gmail accounts?
Can I connect Gmail and Outlook to Grok Bot at the same time?
Yes, one of each, because they are separate plugins. Neither takes a second account in any way Cursor documents. Through Carly, both providers connect on one page and every account behaves the same way. For Outlook alone, see Can Grok Bot connect to multiple Outlook accounts?
What is a mail.grokbot.com address?
An email address your Bots can claim and use. It belongs to you, not to one Bot, so all of your Bots share it. You get one, it can’t be renamed, and it starts empty. It doesn’t connect the inboxes you already have.
Will Grok Bot send email for me without asking?
No. Cursor’s help says every send waits for you to press Send, including replies from routines, and “there’s no option for unattended sending.” Carly lets you decide per rule which emails go out on their own and which wait in Drafts. See Can Grok Bot manage my email?
How many inboxes can Carly hold?
As many as you connect at carlyassistant.com/integrations. Add a client’s mailbox when the job starts and remove it when the work ends, without touching the others.

See what people say
"Before Carly, I relied on a Calendly link, but the whole process felt impersonal and not very professional. Carly changed that by handling all the back-and-forth, so I'm no longer stuck in endless email threads trying to line up schedules.
Now Carly reaches out to candidates, shares my real-time availability, lets them pick a slot, then sends a Zoom link and drops it straight into my calendar. She sends reminders to both of us before each call, which has significantly reduced no-shows and last-minute confusion.
On top of scheduling, Carly acts like a full executive assistant, sending me my schedule the night before so I can prepare for each call. It reminds me of the old x.ai assistant, but Carly is noticeably smarter, faster, and better suited to my healthcare recruitment business."
